One Last Work of Art Card (for awhile anyway)

I have one more card to share using the Work of Art stamp set. It is one of those sets that so many possibilities can happen with it. Just by using ink, combining stamps you can create many things. I have a couple of ladies in my group that I thought of when I made this card. Matter-of-fact I know that one of the ladies created some just last weekend. Her son is in the Army and she wanted to make some to send to him and his friends.

To create this card you will need to "mask". To do that, stamp the heart on a post-it note and cut it out. Once cut out, stick it to your Whisper White Cardstock. Using Night of Navy ink, stamp the swoosh (I don't know a better term for that image, lol). Remove your sticky heart and you are left with a white heart. To make the shorter lines, again using a post-it note cover your image you just stamped. Then stamp three lines. Remove the post-it note and stamp two long lines below. You get a really cool looking flag. I then mounted it on Night of Navy and Real Red cardstock. Just by matting it you make a simple card look WOW. It really dresses it up!

Next week I will be showing samples from a new stamp set - Choose Happiness! So hope you come back! Thanks for stopping by!

Fabulous Work of Art

This was a fun and simple card that we made at Stamp Club in August. I really love the 2013-2015 In colors. They just make me happy! This is a fun card with some bling too...see the glitter paper and the rhinestones. Bling is a girls best friend and I know all my girlfriends would love to receive this card in the mail!

Everything is stamped and assembled on a 4 x 5 1/4 Whisper White Cardstock. I then wrapped twine around the card, securing the ends to the back. I took another piece of twine to make a bow. The entire cardstock is then mounted on Crisp Cantaloupe with pop dots. Gives it a little dimension and class.

This would be VERY easy to recreate with other colors! How fun to make into a little set for your girlfriends. Change the sentiment and they could become fast Thank You cards. The possibilities are endless!

Thanks for stopping by today! We had stamp club last night and I'm excited to start sharing samples and projects from it. Look for those coming soon!

Just For You - Work Of Art Teacher Card

Here is another great example of thinking out of the box. (I again have to thank Pinterest for the idea). Since I'm a teacher I have a soft spot for making items for teachers. I thought this card was so cute and would be awesome to make as Thank You cards to give a set to your favorite teacher! Even though my "apple" isn't perfect you know what it is - something that is awesome! It doesn't have to be perfect and it still looks great!

I hope you have a fabulous weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

A Christmas Card Using Work of Art

I just love that you can find so many samples on Pinterest using the Work of Art Stamp Set. That was the stamp set for my September Stamp Club. I always do two projects and then I have a board of samples using that set. This way my club members see other ways to incorporate the stamp set. It makes it nice to see all the things you can make with just one stamp set.

The neat thing about Work of Art is that you can use the stamps to make things. Take for instance this card. Just by using 3 stamps from the set you can create a "tree" (long brushstroke on bottom, medium in the middle and small on the top). Then using the long line you can make the "trunk". To make the ornaments I just used Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details (squeezed dots all over the tree). The top is a star die cut and a rhinestone on top.

What a fun card, huh? Pretty easy and would make a great Christmas Card this year! I hope you enjoyed :D Thanks for stopping by!

You are a Fabulous Work of Art

Last week I showed a thank you card using this set (Work of Art) and the same colors. A little different take on it. I actually made this one first but it just wasn't screaming my name. I added the two color panels behind the main focal point and then I liked it a little better.

It's funny how sometimes we start off making a card and when we get done it doesn't look the way we "vision" it to look. I used to just throw it away and start again. HOWEVER, since it seems my time is more limited now a days I just keep "adding" things or "changing" things till I get a look I'm pleased with.

I wanted to do this as one of my stamp club projects but was worried that some of the gals would get frustrated with the chevron stamp set and lining it up. I don't want stamp club to be stressful - it should be fun and useful. That is why I went with last week's card as one of the projects and this one was shown as a sample of things you could do with the stamp set. I have to admit quite a few girls liked this one :D

Thanks for stopping by!
