Sparkle and Shimmer - Flutter By Wednesday #124

Hello to you! Can you believe it's already Wednesday? Time is just flying by...I mean October is here on Friday!! Whew...October means cooler weather and boy has it hit Kansas. I haven't had the AC on for almost a week. LOVE having the windows open and fresh air. Plus leaving a window open and it getting cold, snuggling in the blankets - LOVE that!!

So today you are visiting to me see a Flutter By card, right? Well it's a fun challenge and I hope you will play along...SHIMMER AND SHINE! Let's create a card with lots of bling, sparkle and shimmer on it! Remember you must include a BUTTERFLY, FAIRY or ANGEL on it.


How is that for some sparkle, folks? I used Stickles on the clouds, wings and halo. I added a few blingy rhinestones to the side of the card as well. Let me tell you this baby is one beautiful shimmer & shiny card!

The image is a fabulous digi from Christy at Tiddly Inks...LOVE her stuff! I have so many images I've purchased but have not used. They are so cute how can I not?!
I even made this an actual card and finished the inside too!

Flutter By Wednesday #113

Where or where has the week gone? I can't believe it's time for another Flutter By creation! Thanks so much for all the wonderful comments and warm welcome back last week - we had LOTS of players with AWESOME creations!! This week we are being sponsored by Di's Digi Downloads. We were given a choice of a few images to use and I picked Puppy Cookie With Butterfly.


Isn't he cute? I think when the butterfly landed on him I can just see him saying well Hello Hello :) He was so much fun to color - I used my pencils and OMS. I have to tell you it's one of my favorite coloring methods and is SO relaxing! The challenge this week at FBW is to create a card using LOTS OF LAYERS (at least 3) AND A BUTTERFLY, FAIRY or ANGEL.

Lots of layers is also PAPER SUNDAES challenge #26 this week so I'm entering my card there. The fabulous sketch comes from DIGITAL TUESDAY challenge #67 which I'm also entering. The sentiment is from a new Hostess Set in The Angel Company Catalog called SOPHISTICATED SENTIMENTS. This is one of the fabulous sets that I got at seminar. While at seminar, I did a little shopping at a few scrapbook stores. I picked up this little pad of paper, Green at Heart, by BasicGrey. It's so MY COLORS!!

Somebunny Special

Welcome to another Softpencil Thursday! Today I'm using the digital image FLOWERS FOR YOU and the challenge was to use RIBBON and BOWS as well. Well that's EASY - I seem to use ribbon and bows A LOT and the image is one of my favorites!!

I know - how ca-ute is that!! Perfect spring card, if I do say so! I colored the image using pencils and OMS. I wanted to give the flowers some dimension so I printed a second image and cut the flowers out after coloring them and adding a little glitter using my Stardust Clear Gelly pen.

The sentiment is from the I Love Easter stamp set from TAC and goes PERFECTLY with the image! This is one of my favorite cards - it makes me so happy!! Now to figure out which somebunny special is going to receive it :)

Flowers For You

Happy Monday to you! I'm a little late getting this posted but with no school Abby and I stayed up late and decided to sleep in. It was nice but now I need to get busy!! I have a card for you today that I made for 3 challenges! One challenge, CPS Sketch #149, has already passed but that's ok since I LOVE the layout!! Definitely one I'll use again!

The second challenge is for the Softpencil PCP group where we had to use a favorite layout. And the third challenge is for Digital Tuesday Challenge #41 where you had to use a digital image and embossing. The digital image is from Softpencil and it's called Flowers for you.

Don't you love those fat polka dots? It's a Sizzix embossing folder. The sentiment is from a TAC set, Dear Friend. I colored dear old rabbit with my Copics. I used W1 and W3 for him...just wanted him to have a little color. On the flowers I went over them with my Stardust Clear Gelly Pen for some added sparkle. Below is a better picture of that.
