Goodies

I got this CUTE card and butterfly stamps from my good friend, Danni! The card was perfect as I love pink and I adore the Huggabugg from Stamping Bella.

I can't wait to use the butterfly stamps - maybe I'll use them on next week's Flutter By Wednesday card! :o) Thanks again, Danni!

Hoo Loves You

Owls are very popular right now so imagine how happy I was to get this image in my mailbox! I was looking for something to use on another Amy R. sketch and thought these owls would be perfect!

Now I know there really aren't pink & red owls but isn't it cute???? In cardmaking it's acceptable, right?!

I have to tell you a funny - and I'm sure we've all been there (at least I hope I'm not the only one!). I was looking at Tina's blog and she used this awesome border punch on a couple of her cards. I kept looking at that going man I wish I had that. Well today, I looked at my punch swatches and guess what? YEP, I HAVE IT!!! I was all ready to go buy it this weekend. NOW you know why I have an "inventory" book, a stamp book and a punch book! If not I'd be double buying a lot and it's not like I can afford to be doing that!

Thanks so much for looking!

Flutter By Wednesday #4

Hey it's Wednesday so time for another Flutter By creation! Today I had to use bright, cheery colors as the sun hasn't been around for the last few days and I've had spring on my mind! The size of this card is 6 x 3 1/2.

I used a level B hostess set, Criss Cross and a level A hostess set, Feel Better from TAC. The paper & cardstock is from the Miss Moxie collection also from TAC. Palette Hybrid Ink Pads used were Orangerie, Paris Lights & L'Amore Red. On the inside I put white cardstock and another scallop border using the same dp. I kept playing with the layout and came up with these below as well.

I made 7 cards total - not bad for one sitting - and really good for me!

I'm happy to report that I will be staying on Danni's Flutter By Team! She's also added a couple more ladies for next month so I'll be adding their blog information on the right later this week. Don't forget though, that Danni is giving away some awesome blog candy! You still have time to play so be sure to stop by. She'll be drawing the winner on Thursday!

Need more ideas? Check out the other talented design team members blogs (link is to the right under the Flutter By Wednesday charm) for their creation today.

Thanks so much for looking! If you have time, click on the comment button and tell me what you think of my cards - I always love to hear what YOU have to say!!

Abby

No, I don't have any pictures (What kind of scrapbooker am I???) but today Abby went for her 5 yr old check up. Yes, for those of you keeping up I'm approximately 4 months late! I'm telling you "better late than never" is my motto!

Abby is 50lbs & 45inches tall and in the 90th percent tile for her height and weight. She definitely did NOT get that from me - my side of the family is short and stalky. She had to have 3 shots and that didn't go so hot (DOES IT EVER???). I tell you even now with her being 5 yrs old instead of 5 months, I still tear up to see her pain. Because she kept getting upset at the idea of the shots (Oh I should mention, Abby can be a little bit of a drama queen), they decided to have a nurse on each side of her. That way they'd give two shots at one time. Well the nurse who came to help out wasn't ready and didn't go exactly on 3 which means Abby really got stuck while flexing her muscles. Result : sore as snot! She instantly bruised and had trouble moving that leg. The bad part is if you don't use the muscle it hurts worse but since it hurts so bad now it's hard to get her to see that!

So what did I do afterwards? Spoil her of course! I took her to Sonic for her 1/2 price slush (really I needed a caffeine fix after being at the dr. office for like 2 hours!); then to Wal-mart to pick up her prescription (she has horrible Eczema on her hands); then to the Dollar Tree so she could pick out a toy. She's so funny - as we are pulling into the parking lot of the Dollar Tree she spots all the Valentine stuff in the window. She informs me that she thinks her legs would feel much better if she could get a toy AND a balloon. I laughed and said "really, huh?". She got both :)

That made her smile and well her smile lights up a room...

Ok, she wasn't THIS happy today but you get the idea!

It's freakin freezing here (yes, I know, I'm sure it's colder some where else but it's still cold to me!). It's been snowing off and on all day and I'm really ready for some warmer days! I'd at least like to see the sun soon :)

CAC Sketch #10

Just a quick post - it's Tuesday so time for another CAC Sketch Card using a PageMaps sketch.

I'm enjoying trying out new size cards and this one is 3 1/2 x 8. I used Chatterbox paper from my scrap bin (LOVE IT), cardstock sticker from K&Company, Flower from Doodlebug and Dew Drops from the Robin's Nest. Stamp sentiment is from Savvy Stamps.

I'd like to take a moment & thank all of you who take the time to check out my blog & who post comments. As a SAHM in a new town, I look forward to reading your comments and it gives me motivation each day! I have to say I have created a lot more since having this blog and it feels really good!

Thanks for looking!

Christmas in January

Yes, that's right Christmas in January - cards that is! I'm not going to be scrambling at the end of the year to get Christmas cards out. A few people I know are making a few cards each week or month. Well for me, to say it and do it are two different things. That's why I'm so excited to be a part of a new blog Christmas Stampin' All Year Long dedicated to Christmas cards. The blog members there will have LOTS of inspiration for you all year through in order for you to get your cards done too!

This week we were given a sketch to use for our card creations. I got this awesome stamp set AFTER Christmas had have been wanting to ink it up really bad. Here's my sample:

The sentiment is part of the stamp set which is from The Angel Company. I also used my Fiskars border punch for the sides. Below is a closeup of Santa:

I colored with Prismacolor pencils & OMS, Copic marker for his face and a little bit of Stickles around his wand and in his star basket. I used Amelia SWIC & Cardstock from The Angel Company.

I really like this card but I have to be a little realistic. I send out over 75 cards and the Santa card is a 6x6 which means I'm going to pay extra postage to send him. So I looked at the sketch and decided to make an A2 card. One of my goals is not just making one card a week but being able to make several cards at one sitting - otherwise I'm not going to make it in time!! The same papers & supplies were used just different stamp sets. This first sample is one that follows the sketch pretty closely - I just flipped it.

The stamp sets are Birdy Holiday, Curls n Swirls and Holiday Cheer all from The Angel Company. There are small rhinestones on the bird image & on the sentiment tag. The next one I just used Stickles to add a little bling - less bulk but still a little extra punch. I didn't use "happy holidays" and instead used the "peace on earth" sentiment that I had left off above.

And the last one is the simplest of them all. On this one I cut out the curls n swirls and the bling.

In a scrapbook magazine I used to get they'd show a project and how you can "step it up". I always thought that was neat. That's what I tried to show here. Each of us create at different levels and in different ways. Sometimes you are able to spend a lot of time on a card. Other times you can't. All the cards are beautiful in their own way - just like us. We each bring unique touches to our cards and that's what's so cool about blogs - to see all the uniqueness!

So what do you say - why not make a Christmas card today and get a head start for December! You'll be glad you did and I'd love for you to share your creations as I need all the ideas I can get!!

Heart Trio

I really like participating in swaps but sometimes they can become overwhelming. I've gotten a lot better about pacing myself and being a little more choosy in which ones I sign up for. The ones here lately have been small in number which takes a lot of pressure off me! These cards are for a Valentine's Day swap I signed up for on my CAC group.

Here's a close up of the card:

One of the topics on my groups has been about using old stamps. Ever since I made my master stamp book, I've been able to use more of my older stamps. That's because I actually know what I have now! For this card, I used a retired TAC stamp set called Heart Twinz. It's really a cute stamp set but I have NEVER used it. It felt good to ink them up and get some use out of them.

You should try it. Look at your stash and try and use something old. Not only will you feel good about doing it, you'll also have an excuse to buy something new as a reward, LOL! Believe me when I say I need all the justification I can for my buying habits - just ask my hubby!!!

Sprinklin' a little luv...

Today I have a new Valentine's Day card to show. I have to tell you that lately my cards have had quite a bit of bling and this one is NO exception! It has glittered brads, sparkly stickers and glitter wings! On one of my Yahoo groups, we have a challenge where one of the members sends everyone an image to use on a card. It was my turn to send out an image and I chose a new Stampendous stamp and sentiment that I got at my LSS. I used a Mojo Monday Sketch and just love how it turned out!

I colored the bee with pencils & OMS. The hearts are actually Stampendous stickers I got at a stamp store. Here's a detailed shot of the bee & hearts:

I decided to use my new Martha Stewart Edge punch for the inside of the card.

As I was doing this post, I realized that I should probably stamp something on the inside as well, LOL.

So whatcha think? This is my first bee image and I think they're pretty cute. May have to get a few more! Thanks for looking!

Pink Cat Studio Challenge & Mojo Monday Card

Today I have a fun, bright card to share using one of my favorite paper lines KI. Their paper just makes me smile - love all the fun patterns & colors! I used Mojo Monday week 70 sketch and I participated in the Pink Cat Studio Challenge on PCP. It was to create a card that has something pink on it, some sort of animal, and has scallops or sparkle or both. When I read those guidelines I instantly thought of a birthday card using one of my favorite PCS sets!

I colored Q.T. Hooty with my markers. I did a lot of layer but I really like how it turned out. I was really stumped by the sketch as I wasn't sure where to put my sentiment. I found this KI paper that has celebrate all over it and knew it would be perfect. Here's a closeup of the image:

It's hard to tell but there is sparkle on the top of his bday hat. I paper pieced the balloon and then added another piece with a pop dot for dimension.

So what do you think? Thanks for taking the time to stop by and have a look!

Hey Cupcake

Before I share my card for the day, I want to give you a little insight about me. I'm a bad blogger. I get busy and it never fails that I don't get something posted. Then I realized that I can schedule my posts! Yippeee that will help! So usually Sunday evening I sit down and prepare my posts for the week. In the past, I haven't had enough for each day. BUT this week it's different!! Not only did I have enough for the week but I even created and completed a few new cards TONIGHT!!! AND what's even better is that I met some challenges and their deadlines!! Now, I'm not bragging cause I'm sure it won't last long but it feels good to create and LOVE what I make. That doesn't always happen. The mojo goddess must be on my side!!

Ok enough about that, on to the card, right??? Well this yummy beauty comes from another Amy Rysavy sketch. I really enjoy her sketches and I love that I'm using embellishments again. Adding that extra something can be difficult for me. So here's the card:

YUM-O right?! Want the details? Here they are: Great Impression Stamp, DCWV Sweet Stack, Brown Cardstock, Ribbon and Buttons. I stamped the image with Turquoise Gem VersaMagic and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. I did this cause VersaMagic takes awhile to dry and I'm inpatient, lol! Next I paper pieced the cherries & cupcake "holder" (for some reason I'm totally blanking out what to call this...maybe cause it's 1:30AM?!?!?) with DCWV paper. I colored the hearts with a light pink and then added crystal Stickles to them to give them shine!

Thanks so much for looking! Feel free to leave me a comment as I ALWAYS appreciate and LOVE to hear what YOU have to say!! While you are there tell me if my pictures are horrible...I always think they look pretty good then I upload them and think they look dark. Am I imagining that? Are they horrible? I really hope not!!

Flutter By Wednesday #3

Yeah it's Wednesday, which means it's time for another Flutter By card. You won't believe this but I actually did TWO again this week! Now before you think I'm a total overachiever, I have to explain. I knew that I wanted to use this SU! set that I've had for like FOREVER! I started stamping and wasn't pleased with it so I decided to start over. I really liked the results and made this card:

I don't know about you but I get these "images" of how I think the card should look. This was close but still not what I was "thinking". I decided to go back to the first piece I stamped and see if I could salvage it. I ended up cutting some of it but then used it to make this card:

The part I cut off had a butterfly on it so I decided to cut it out and adhere it to the other butterfly with a little foam tape. I really like the dimension it provided. The flower grouping is more what I had "imagined".

Now to the specifics - please go check out Danni's blog . She is giving away blog candy this month for those who play along. She also has a slide show with all the team members creations. You, of course, can check out each team members blog which I have listed to the right. It's been so fun being a part of this team! All the other members are so nice and very talented as well! Remember if you upload your creation to SCS or PCP please use keyword FBW41.

CAC Sketch #9

This week's sketch for my Create-A-Card Yahoo group is by Heather. I'm not sure if this sketch has been on her blog or not. I really like the sketch and can see myself using it again and again! I decided to do an Easter card.

At first I stamped the bunny on white paper and it just looked HORRIBLE! So I decided to use one of the pattern papers that comes in the Juliette SWIC from TAC. Once I did that, I wasn't sure if I'd be able to color it or not since it was treated paper. I'm happy to report that not only did I color using my pencils but I also used my OMS as well. Below is a detail shot of the image:

I added white flock to his tail as I believe all bunnies should have some fluff to them!! Thanks for looking!!

Supplies: I love Easter stamp set and Juliette SWIC papers & cardstock all from The Angel Company, Prismacolor Pencils, OMS, White Fun Flock, Martha Stewart Border punch.

Interested in purchasing supplies from The Angel Company? Just contact me as I'm an Independent Demonstrator!

Do you remember this post in December? Well I'm so excited to report that I won the challenge!! HOORAY for me! Saturday I received this in the mail for winning...

Look at all those wonderful images and that beautiful card! Thanks Danni!!!

CPS #99 Lattebella

Wow, can you believe it? I made the deadline for TWO challenges this week!! WhoHoo! I have to say that this one took me awhile. I was totally over thinking everything. Not sure if it's my favorite but it has a Bella and I love the color combo so two out of three ain't bad!! I used CPS Sketch #99

I LOVE coffee! I should say I love what coffee means to me - Back in TN I would visit Starbucks at least weekly with my great friends Rhonda & Ellen. So it's not just about the coffee but the friendships and conversations. I wasn't sure what sentiment I was going to use with the stamp. Then low & behold last week when I was at a stamp store I found the PERFECT stamp to go with it.

Perfect, right? Here's to warm cups of coffee and great friendships!! Now that I've moved I'm looking for both - wanna apply???

It's really cold outside so I'm trying to stay warm but it's kind of hard...think I'll go make me some coffee - decaf that is or I'll be up ALL night! Who am I kidding, I'm up all night anyway!

Thanks for looking!

Snow Friends

There are so many blogs out there with such great inspiration and I'm always trying to participate but for whatever reason it doesn't always work out. Yesterday though, everything just clicked. I needed to make some cards for a snowman swap that I joined. I know exactly what image I wanted to use, Snowman Circle from Stamping Bella and when I saw Amy Rysavy's Friday Sketch #44, I knew it would be perfect for it!

DP is from MME. I used my pencils and OMS for the snowman. Here is a close up of the image:

I know snowmen aren't blue but I felt I need to color him something and he matches the paper perfectly! I think he's really cute! I'm happy to report I got all the cards made and some extras for myself!!

So what do you think? I would love to know, so feel free to leave me a comment! Thanks for looking!

Flutter By Wednesday #2

It's my second week as a featured stamper on the Flutterby Wednesday team and I'm having so much fun! I'm using stamps that have never been inked as well as paper I've had in my stash for-EVER! If you aren't playing along, what are you waiting for??? Join in and share your butterfly creations! Here's mine:

and a side view:
For my creation, I stamped the butterfly using Versamark Dazzle onto glossy paper. I heat set it and then brayered it with Rose Bud Memento Ink. You can't really tell in the photo but the butterfly has a hint of sparkle to it. It's really cool. The butterfly and sentiment is from SU! and the paper is Doodlebug. If you look close, you can see that I also stamped a flower border (it came with the SU! set) in Rose Bud ink on the inside of my card. I really like how this turned out!

Since I was using my brayer, I went ahead and played a little more so I have ANOTHER card to show you. Can you believe it? TWO cards in one day!! On this one, I used the same technique but didn't use Versamark Dazzle just regular Versamark. When you compare the card below to the one above you can tell that the butterfly image "pops" more.

SCS sketch #166 was used for this card. I used my Kaleidacolor Bouquet Pad on this image. Paper again is Doodlebug. On the inside of this card, I again stamped the flower border using the Bouquet pad and then stamped the sentiment as well.

It's neat to use the same exact image but totally different colors and get a whole different feeling from each one. This SU! set is one of my favorites and I'm sure I'll be using it a lot more!

Don't forget to check out Danni's blog where she is giving away some awesome blog candy for those who play along! If you upload your card to SCS or PCP, please use keyword FBW40. Also, check out the other team's creations by clicking on their name on the right under Flutterby Wednesdays! I promise you won't be disappointed!!

CAC SKetch #8

Just a quick card to share. Since it's Tuesday it's time for another CAC Sketch card. This week our sketch was a PageMap sketch. As a card maker I'm always looking ahead to the holidays to see what cards I will need. I got a new Valentine's Day stamp in the $1 bin at Michael's that would work perfectly for the sketch.

I stamped the circle image 5 x - once using brown ink, twice using blue and pink ink. Then I cut out and "popped" up each layer. I changed up my card a little from the sketch in order to accommodate the sentiment going completely across. The circle says "my valentine" so I put "be mine" as the sentiment below. The "be mine" stamp is from Martha Stewart. The paper is Chatterbox and I used the EK ticket punch in the corners.

FUNShop projects

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend! I know mine went fast but then don't they always! Yesterday, I had a FUNShop! A FUNShop is just what TAC calls our in home parties. I like it cause we always have FUN and we do two projects. So it's a fun workshop! At this particular one we made a treat bag and did a card utilizing our Scor-pal. First up is the treat bag. Our treat bag is for Valentine's Day but would be perfect for Easter, Birthday and just because! I'm planning on doing something like this for Abby's preschool class Valentine's day party. I got the idea from Angie's blog. She always has such cute projects!

This is a side view to give you an idea of the size of it. It's made with small paper sacks (size 6 3/4 x 3 1/2 x 2"deep) that I got at Michael's. You actually cut the top of the sack off so it measures 4 3/8". Here's the front:

We used Enjoy Today stamp set and From the Heart GWP. We colored the image using our stamp pads and blender pens. It gave it a soft watercolor look. We also made a card. I showed how to make your own background paper using your Scor-Pal.

The brown & white card in the front is the one that everyone made. The others were just samples of other ways to make backgrounds using your Scor-Pal.

These are just a few more cards that I showed where a Scor-Pal was used somewhere on the card. I like how easy it is to use the Scor-Pal and how it can really step up the look of my cards!

Don't forget right now TAC is having a spec-TAC-ular savings event where all T-Coded stamp sets in the Fall/Winter Catalog & Fall Supplement are 50% off. Hurry! This event ends on January 26th!! so Email me today!

Thanks for looking!!

soooo

is anyone else having problem with their counter or is it just me??? Mine is at the bottom right of my blog. Please realize that I'm definitely not a pro in the blogging world and I just put my counter on my blog probably a month ago so if ANYONE has any helpful advice, I would LOVE IT!!!

It's really annoying me, can you tell?!?!?

Faerie Card

Yesterday I showed a card using colored pencils and OMS so today I thought I show one using Copic Markers. On Wednesday, I was lucky enough to attend a Copic Technique class offered at a stamp store. I learned a lot and realized that using my markers takes time and practice. I came right home and started practicing. I decided to use one of my new Faerie's from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. Meet Bryony:

I used CPS Sketch #98 for this card. I really like how the sketch allows for larger images. This card is actually 5x5. DP is Chatterbox. Here is a close up of Bryony:

Isn't she cute?! If you've never been to Susana's you should really stop by. She keeps adding stuff and I can't keep up. For Christmas, I received quite a few Faerie's so look for more cards using those images soon!

I want to take a moment and thank everyone for the nice comments and emails about my work. It really appreciate the feedback and love that you are looking at my blog! Don't forget you can become a follower just by clicking the link on the right.

Not sure if I'll get to post over the weekend. I have another FUNShop! and am looking forward to it. We are doing a card utilizing our Scor-Pals and a cute little treat bag that is perfect for Valentine's day but could also work for other occasions. I'll share those projects soon!

Have a great weekend and thanks for looking!

Chickadee Card

It seems like forever since I have had the opportunity to just sit down and color. I received this image from a swap I was in and I must tell you it's not one I would have initially bought for myself. HOWEVER, I'm starting to look at stamps in a WHOLE new way and I must say I LOVE THIS IMAGE!!! I'm totally on this bird/nature kick - I mean when you really think about nature it's AMAZING!! We live near a lake and right now we are getting TONS of geese in - it's so neat to watch them all fly in every morning, eat in the "fields" and then fly on to the lake to rest. ANYWAY, here's my card.

I used Splitcoast Stampers card sketch #208. Normally most of my cards are 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. This one is a little bigger. It's actually 4 1/2 x 6. With the size of the image I really needed a larger card. I found envelopes at Wal-Mart that are size 4 3/4 x 6 1/2 which are great for larger cards! Here is a close up of the image:

I put diamond glaze on the berries. I also used ultra fine glitter for the snow dots. I colored the image with my Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. DP is BasicGrey. I finished the card with some ribbon and dew drops.

Pretty cool huh? I really like how it turned out! When I showed it to my hubby his comment was "YOU colored this?" Guess that means that my practicing is paying off!! Would love to hear what you think, so be sure to leave me a comment!

Thanks for looking!!

Kansas Weather

The last weekend in December, we had the STRANGEST weather here in Kansas. Friday started out with temperatures in the high 60's which broke lots of records. By Friday night we were in a Tornado Watch (in DECEMBER mind you!!!). Our house is located on a little hill so we can really hear the north wind. When we went to bed, the temperature kept dropping, the wind picked up and it started raining. The rain turned to hail, then sleet. When we woke up there was ice everywhere. It then started to snow and the temperatures were in the low teens. By Sunday, the ground was covered in snow and the trees in ice. Jay and Abby decided to play in it before it melted away (which it did soon thereafter).

Although it was cold, they had a blast! Where was I? Inside drinking hot coffee, stamping and enjoying a little quiet time :)

Flutter By Wednesday

Happy Wednesday! I'm so excited for today is my first day as an official Flutter By Wednesday Team member. Every Wednesday, I'll post a card where I've used a butterfly. This Wednesday, I used a butterfly from the Retro Butterflies stamp set from The Angel Company. The sketch comes from Heather and is for my Yahoo group, CreateACard (CAC). I normally post my CAC sketch card on Tuesday but when I saw the sketch I knew I wanted to use it for Danni's challenge.

I used lots of bling on my butterfly and the paper is from DCWV. Danni will be giving away blog candy to those who play along so be sure to check out her blog for all the details! To see other AWESOME creations, check out the links to the other team members on the right!

So how about it? Want to participate in the Flutter By Wednesday challenge? Just make a card using a butterfly and share your creations. If you upload to a gallery like SPS or PCP be sure to use keyword FBW39.

Can't wait to see what you come up with - Happy fluttering!!

Keychains

Here's a quick little gift that I made for Christmas gifts. I found the key chains at Wal-Mart in the photo section. The plastic cover just pops off and then you can put whatever you want in them. Whenever I order prints from Shutterfly, I get an index page. I always keep the pictures for I feel there will be something I'll want to use them for. Well these small images were PERFECT for the key chains. I could get a lot of pictures on there. I mounted the photos on black cardstock (size 1 3/4 x 2 3/4).

Since the covers come off it would be easy to change out the pictures. Abby wanted to draw Aunt Shannon a picture for hers and I also made up a sheet with photos on it so she could change it when she wanted to.

The backs of the key chains were smooth so I decided to apply rub-ons to them to make them more personal.

I bought some extras to have on hand for last minute gifts and to put in my goodie basket (for when I do FUNShops!).

Photo Cube

Yeah!! I'm back to posting :) There are a few of you that read my blog and if you feel so inclined sign up to be a follower to the right there...I mean let me know you like my blog so I'll keep posting, LOL!

As promised here is one of the Christmas gifts that I made this year. These are photo cubes that I first found at Archiver's and then at Wal-Mart. They are exactly the same. I bought them a LONG time ago (ok really it was like 6 months) because I thought they would be so fun to make. Did I do them right away? Nooooo, but that's ok cause they made GREAT Christmas gifts. One of my goals for 2009 is to use the stuff I actually buy! I have two plastic tubs full of items I want to make/alter - I'm going to start using them!

This is the top of the photo cube. I liked how you can put objects in the cube. I did have to put a little glue (I used Zip Dry since it dries clear) along the bottom two ledges so it would stay together. The reason I'm pretty sure I had to do this was because I decorated the top of the cube...so you may not need to do this depending on how you decorate yours.

The next photos are of the sides of the cube. I made an X with cardstock and decorated the sides. So instead of 4 large pictures I could use 8 wallet size photos.

I put cardstock on the bottom of the cube so I could put my stickers/rub-ons on it. On one of the cubes that I made I actually just put the rub-ons on the cube itself. I did find that you had to be careful of what your colors were. If the photo was dark it was sometimes hard to see the rub-ons. If you have a ton of white rub-ons/stickers then you shouldn't have an issue.

On some of the sides I chose to decorate it instead of having a picture.

I really like how there is dimension inside the cube. This cube was for my mom and she really liked it. I also made one for my sister and one for my MIL.

The project went really fast once I had the dimensions all figured out. I ordered wallet prints from Shutterfly (they come 4 to a sheet) so I could make them for family and one for me! To make it easy for you to create your own, I've included the instructions on how I made mine.

INSTRUCTIONS:

You'll need 4 pieces of cardstock that are 4 11/16 x 3 5/16 and score them between 2 5/16 & 2 6/16. The top & bottom pieces of cardstock are 3 5/16 x 3 5/16. For each side, you can photos up to size 2 3/16 x 3 3/16. Sometimes I had that be my cardstock and had my photo be 2 x 3 so I had a nice mat. I decorated each "page" before adhering them all together. When you are finished decorating, just adhere each "page" together so you end up with an X. You then put the X on top of the bottom cardstock. If you are going to decorate the bottom cardstock, I put my X in there, used a pencil to mark the triangle that would be open (see the Abby side or the Soccer Star side above). I adhered my rub-ons/stickers, erased the pencil mark and then put the bottom cardstock in the cube. Once you are done, put the top cardstock on top of the X and put the cube together. As I mentioned before, you may need to put a little glue on the bottom edges. I used Zip Dry on mine and then let it sit overnight with a heavy book on top of it.

That's it! Got questions? Just ask! As always, I'd love to hear what you think! Thanks for looking!
