Blog Hop Using New Release From ELC Plus A Giveaway!!

Hi Friends and welcome to Erin Lee Creative Blog Hop featuring the newest release in the shop. You should be arriving from Jenny Colacicco's blog. If not, no worries! At the end of my post is the order and links to all the participants in the Blog Hop. You'll want to make sure you visit and comment on them all for a chance at a $25 gift certificate. Two will be given away and the winners will be chosen from various blogs & posted on Saturday, February 1st. So let's get going...
I have to admit I had some trouble with this release because I absolutely loved it all. I wish I could share more creations with you but I've narrowed it down to my two favorites. First up is a Valentine/Anniversary card using the Triangle Nesters Die and the Oh Em Gee Stamp Set

I know there are so many possibilities with this die and stamp set but my mine is on Valentine's right now and so I had to make a love card. I used some double sided pattern paper for the triangles - I used a little purple tape to "hold them together" then ran them through my Xyron. Once I added them to the paper I took off my purple tape and stuck it to the side to use again. That stuff is amazing!

Here's a close up of the dies.

And that saying...I mean Oh Em Gee, right? We say that all the time as a society so it's definitely on trend right now!
Next up is one of my favorites and I made a video showing how to use it with the new Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo - so cool! I'll be sharing the video later this week so be on the look out for that.

Look at that foil - Erin has started carrying some foil in the store as well but not this one. I got tons of foil rolls from my hubby for Christmas so I was dying to try this out. LOVE the way it turned out!

The card is definitely full of shimmer and shine and Oh so pretty! I can't wait to do more projects using foil! I used the Leopard Stencil, Love You Die, and Nesting Heart Die set as well.
Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to leave a comment for a chance to win in the giveaway and Good Luck! Now, hop on over to Ericka Strange's blog to see her wonderful creation!

YUM Goodie Bags! It's a Paper Pumpkin Kit!

I know I've mentioned Paper Pumpkin before. It's a monthly kit that arrives in your mailbox and has everything (except adhesive) you need to complete a project in about 30 minutes or so. Plus it's less than $25 a month!

This is a project from last month (January) that I'm just now getting put together. I knew when I saw it I wanted to use it as "thank yous" to my class participants as well as to a few special people.

The kits came with EVERYTHING - I didn't even have to use adhesive on this one cause they included glue dots on it. The kit came with everything to make 24 bags of goodies. The stamps included in the kit had Happy Valentines' Day but also had this ENJOY and YUM which is perfect for AFTER Valentine's Day!

And since I'm a monthly subscriber I can purchase extra kits if available. Which I totally did!! Yep, Abby will be having these next year for her class!

I hope you had a great weekend! Here is to a great week! Happy Monday :D Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope you are enjoying your Valentine's Day! I'm treating myself to some ME time and catch up on my to-do lists! Hubby is at an Eye Conference so we will celebrate another time.

Remember this picture (you would have seen it on my Instagram or Facebook page..are you following? Click on links at right to following me!!)

I stamped, colored and cut all those one afternoon. I needed them so we could make Abby's Valentine's.

They were a big hit with the kiddos! Hope you get some extra love, chocolate and attention on this special day! Thanks for stopping by!!

A LOVE-ly Anniversary Card and More!

Today I have a few more examples using the Snuggles & Smooches Photopolymer Stamp set. I really got a lot of awesome anniversary/love/valentine cards from this set. And I know the swirl (to me) could look like flowers or elements and could be use for ANY occasion!

I think this card is an awesome Anniversary Card. Very simple to make too. I used Basic Gray and Real Red. I stamped the large swirl in Basic Gray ink. Then I stamped the LOVE sentiment in white craft ink and embossed it with white embossing powder. I stamped a few little hearts in Real red around it to finish it off.

Next up is just a sweet card for a friend. Again the focal points are those swirls - don't you love them? I punched the Snuggles & Smooches sentiment out using my circle punch and adhered to the card front. Again easy peasy!

Love You!

Today I have another creation to share with you using the Snuggles & Smooches Photopolymer Stamp Set.

I really liked how this turned out! I stamped the LOVE using Crumb Cake Ink on to Crumb Cake paper. Then I used a White Signo Uni-Ball Gell Pen to "color" between the lines. It really made it POP off the card!

I think the card is perfect for an Anniversary or even Valentine's Day for the hubby! Thanks for stopping by today!

My Silly Valentine

This is a CAS card - very easy to make! Just need a few ink colors and one stamp set (Snuggles & Smooches) and you get one super cute card!

I tell you those swirls are definitely my favorite part of the stamp set. So many cool things you can do with them. This was another project that Stamp Club made in the month of January. Gotta get a head start on those LOVE cards!

A Sweet Tweet for You!

Happy Saturday to you! As I write this we are "supposed" to get some snow. I have to stress "supposed" as it's been said that a lot this winter and we've had maybe a dusting. I think we need a good 'ol fashion SNOW DAY!!

Today I'm sharing a Valentine Treat Box. The box is a tutorial from my awesome up-line Becky Roberts. It is made using the French Fry Box Die - just in a new way!

So cute and it holds quite a bit. The papers (Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack) & stamp set (Hey, Valentine) are from the Occasion Catalog. I told you that stamp set was one of my favorites!

I got some Valentine chocolate and put it in a 4 x 6 cellophane bag.

Isn't it just adorable? I LOVE how it turned out! Someone special is getting this one :D

Berry Basket of Love

This was the Hostess Gift at my stamp club this month. I had to use the new die - Berry Basket BigZ L Die. I didn't put a handle on it but we totally could. It's actually very roomie and I wasn't sure what to fill it with so...

I decided that some 3x3 cards and envelopes would be perfect (along with a little candy). I continued the theme of using Snuggles & Smooches stamp set for the cards. I used some scrap pieces of Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack. Something neat about this stack of paper is that one side is color and the other is black and white.

Lots of options on the paper as well. Perfect for the "love" holidays but also all the other occasions out there!

Oodles of Love

We had such a fun time at stamp club this week. We were missing a few people due to the nasty crud going around but all in all it was a great time!

This is one of the projects that we did. I love making the swirls look as though they are flowers (along with rhinestone centers) and the colors we used. Makes me smile!

We used watercolor paper, craft white ink and white embossing powder on the swirls. Once we embossed it we then used Aqua Painters to "watercolor" the background. I really wish I would have gotten some pics of the girls creations. Even though we used the same colors each one was unique and beautiful.

I created this card with an anniversary in mind. Not everyone sends Valentines or has children to send/make Valentine's for. Wanted to show another option :D

Oodles of Snuggles & Smooches Valentine!

Remember this set?

There is something about the swirls and the sayings that made me HAVE TO HAVE IT! I love it so much that I've decided that is what our Stamp Club this Wednesday will be using for our projects.

No, I'm not going to share the actual projects but I am going to show a sample that I made using the set.

Does it look familiar? I "recreated" it from a Stampin' Up! sample they had on their blog. I wasn't sure what colors they used but I used what I thought looked good together. I really liked how they pieced the words together to create another saying...one that I wouldn't have originally thought of.

I was splattering away using my Aqua Painter and I kind of made a "blob" on it. At first I screamed and was like crap now I have to throw the whole thing away. But I took a few deep breaths and decided to just flick harder and more with my Aqua Painter so it wouldn't be AS noticeable, LOL. It's handmade so it might not be perfect but it's made with love :D

Hey Valentine Treat Bag

Happy Saturday to you! This weekend my daughter is participating in the Spring Fling so I'm surrounded by 5th Grade Orchestra Kiddos! She's very excited to get some additional Viola instruction though and hubby & I get to go back to the 'ol college stomping ground so it's a win-win.

I wanted to share a little treat bag I made. In the Occasions Catalog there is a Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies. When I saw it I knew it was the first thing I was going to order!

Using the dies you are able to assemble treat bags. On this one I used Vellum. You can see from the pictures that it's a decent size bag. I put a full size Hershey bar in mine (which I had to cover with pretty paper).

You don't just get dies for the bag - you get TONS of extras too! I haven't even had an opportunity to use them yet but I know I will. On the Stampin' Up! YouTube Channel there is a video on how this die works along with some wonderful samples.

The first stamp set from the Occasions Catalog I knew I was going to get was Hey, Valentine. It's PERFECT for making gifts for Abby's classmates, teachers and staff as well as my Preschool kiddos and fellow co-workers. PLUS it involves coloring which always makes me happy!! Another win-win!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Monster Hugs

Well this has been an interesting week! Tuesday we got a HUGE snow storm (3rd largest in Topeka history) so we had no school on Tuesday or Wednesday. My hubby even had the two days off as the roads were just too bad to get around. Then late Wednesday night/morning I developed the stomach bug - man was that NOT fun! I tell you I have been sick a lot more days in 2014 then I've been well and that is just plain sad! I had to miss work Thursday as well because near a bathroom was the place I need to be. Today I'm feeling a little better - sticking to the B.R.A.T. diet and taking it easy. I'm supposed to go to a crop tomorrow where I need to get lots of stuff done so I'm hoping I'm on my way to a full recovery!

I was going to post these cute Valentine's at the beginning of the week. These are a kit from Stampin' Up! that includes 18 boy or girl Monsters along with wiggle eyes, die cut hearts and a place to write your name. They are absolutely adorable and oh so affordable. They are just $5.95 each and one pack of each boy and girl was plenty for me to give to my preschool kiddos and have extras to hand out just because!

As you can see on the back they have cute little bums along with plenty of space to write names. All I had to provide was the chocolate bar. I did use some coordinating paper to wrap the chocolate bar as I thought it just polished it off.

These are still available and can purchased on my site HERE. They don't say "happy valentine's day" anywhere so they could be used for thank yous, birthday favors, or just because! Or you could get them now for next year...with each package having 18 you'll have plenty for your child's class by buying one girl and one boy package :D.
