Photo Inspiration - Challenge #65 at CSAYL

This week at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long it's a photo challenge! What's awesome about this is there are so many different ways to interpret it - you may like the colors, the pattern or the feeling it evokes. How ever you perceive it is fine!

So when I look at this picture I instantly think Santa should be peeking around the tree. I also, love the colors and there would definitely be presents under the tree too.

One of the pattern papers I used actually have presents on it...kind of hard to tell though. I did some piercing as I get the homespun feel when I look at the photo. I used stripes since the stocking and pillows have that. I put some ribbon on it too since the tree had bows.

I hope you will join us this week. It's never too early to start making those Christmas cards! Stop by the CSAYL blog to link your creation and to see the other fabulous creations that the DT did!

Thanks for stopping by!

My Best Friend

We all need a best friend and what's better than a furry one?! Even though I don't have a dog, I grew up always having one. Now I have a cat and I love the special bond that we have with our furry friends!

Today for Softpencil Thursday, I'm using the digi MY BEST FRIEND. I love that the dog has spots...so fun to color. I can totally see making him furry by using some flock or maybe even fluffy with some Flower Soft!
This card came together rather quickly as I found the layout in a stamp catalog and the paper was in my scrap bin.

Have you been to the Softpencil Blog lately? There is SO MUCH going on!! Elizabeth is introducing new things left and right! Plus there is a SALE...Buy one get one FREE!! Everyone loves a sale so be sure to stop by and see! While you are there, pick up MY BEST FRIEND for yourself!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

FBW #123

We have a special Flutter By Challenge this week - for this week only, you may use any and all winged things!! That's right? Ladybugs, dragonflies, birds...if it's got wings you can use it!!

I still decided to use butterflies this week since I just got this new butterfly die :) I have a lot going on right now and am running short on time so I decided to create a CAS card. You know what - it felt good too. Being able to get a card done quickly AND I like it - totally plus!

I love all the challenges that are out there but find that I don't always get to play. I have a binder where I keep the sketches, color combos, etc. in so that I can refer back to them. For this card I used an old Clean & Simple Sketch #95 and my color combo comes from Color Throwdown (#107). I made my own background paper by using the large flower from the Blossoms & Blessings stamp set from TAC.

I hope you will join in our challenge this week and play along! Be sure to stop by the Flutter By Wednesday blog to link your NEW creation. Sorry about last week and not getting a card finished. Woodware USA was the sponsor and they have some cute stuff! I really wanted to create something but just ran out of time! Be sure to check the blog to see if you won the prize though!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Anything But A Card Blog Hop

Welcome to another Blog Hop sponsored by Paper Wings - an online community dedicated to The Angel Company. The Blog Hop this month is to showcase anything but a card. Well Halloween is right around the corner - being a Preschool teacher and Room Mom for a 1st grade class I'm always in need of cute treat holders.

I made a Fall test tube treat holder at my LSS a few weeks ago and knew I wanted to try one for Halloween. Not sure I'll make these double test tube holders though...but they are fun for someone special.

I used the fabulous Fall Fibi & Lilly set by Mabelle RO. I adore her sets! I added a little Glossy Accents to the stars and used my Stardust Clear Gelly Pen for the bow. I colored the image using my pencils and OMS.

The sentiment is from the Spooktacular stamp set. The awesome paper is actually retired..but it's PERFECT for Halloween!!

So whatcha think? My husband informed me that if I made these for birthday's that people would LOVE it...guess I better make that happen, huh?

Thanks for stopping by tonight. To see the rest of the fabulous creations from other Angels visit their blogs below:

CSAYL Challenge #64

Christmas Stampin' All Year is being sponsored by Pink Cat Studio this week. They have some super cute digi's that you should go check out. Better yet, why not play along with us this week so you have the chance to win 5 FREE digi's of your choice!! How cool would that be!
I got the opportunity to use LILY WINTER PRINCESS...she is so so cute! I had a blast coloring her and using her on my card this week!
What a beautiful princess - complete with sparkle and pearls!! She totally makes me smile!

The challenge this week is BORDERBILITIES - find a creative way to use those border punches. Not sure that my way is creative...but I used them :)

Well it's creative for me to use two...normally I just use one :) Plus I used two different colors - I know WOW, right? I think as my to-do list grows my mojo disappears. Has that ever happened to you?

I hope you will join us this week at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long! I'll be looking for YOUR creation!!

Peek-A-Boo

Halloween is fast approaching - and I have to admit I really enjoy it! I'm more of a cutesy Halloween fan. I get scared too easily not to be :0) Lucky for me, Elizabeth with Softpencil has created some DARLING Halloween digi's. To see them, check out THIS blog post.

This week the Softpencil DT was given the digi HALLOWEEN PEEK-A-BOO to use. I had so much fun coloring it.
Isn't that some fun paper...found it in the Target $ spot. There is even glitter on the green DP!

I wasn't sure if I wanted a sparkly pumpkin or a glossy one. I decided to go glossy...that decision was partial made because I didn't have the Stickles I wanted to use, lol!

The whole background thing is new for me...not sure I love it but will be practicing it again in hopes to improve upon it. When my LSS held a special make n take by MFT, I was shown how to do a background. I did that (which it looked decent) but had to try something more. So I added violet and then couldn't get it to blend very well. So to "fix" it I decided to try the dot technique...but only doing it around the image. It's kind of cool...like I said I don't love it but it's not bad. I have a bad habit of doing too much...sometimes I should just leave things alone. If I did that though I wouldn't learn new things, right? But what about that pumpkin...that my friends is a nice one, don't you think?

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you've enjoyed HALLOWEEN PEEK-A-BOO. Be sure to stop by the Softpencil blog to see all the latest and greatest. Elizabeth now has vinyl clings to purchase...too cool!!

Flutter By Wednesday - Sorry no post yet!

Today is Flutter By Wednesday but at the moment I have nothing fluttering! I have not been feeling well since Saturday so everything has had to take a back seat. I plan on posting something just might not be till tomorrow.

In the meantime head on over to the Flutter By Wednesday blog for some inspiration! The challenge this week is to use BUTTONS as well as a butterfly, fairy or angel. It's a fun challenge and I can't wait to see all the wonderful submissions!!

I'm truly sorry for not having a card. Right now there is so much going on I feel as though I'm totally drowning. I need to get a routine down and figure out how to juggle all the commitments that I have. I realize I'm not on a lot of DT's but with PTO, soccer, Preschool, Girl Scouts and my TAC business I have a lot going on! I always thought I was pretty organized but you can only do so much in a day...especially when you aren't feeling well! Thanks for understanding and I hope you stop back by!!
