Thanks Very Much - Mojo Monday #353

A couple of weeks ago my family went on vacation to the Lake of the Ozarks. A friend of ours gave us a condo to use so I wanted to be able to thank him. I knew I wanted a few things for this card. First off, I needed a "masculine" feel to the card. Second, I wanted a sketch with layers. And third, I wanted to use a nautical theme.

Went with dark colors (Real Red and Night of Navy) to get the masculine feel. Mojo Monday's sketch this week was perfect for layers! To get the nautical theme I used Maritime DSP. Check, Check, Check!! Total win for me :D

It's been awhile since I've played in any challenges. I must admit it felt good. I hope to find some more time to do some creating! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Coloring Time with the New Blendabilities!

The new Blendabilities are here and boy are they fun!! I spent an evening coloring a few images and playing around.

If you haven't heard Blendabilities are Stampin' Up!'s version of the Copic marker. I have had Copic Markers for quite some time so I'm a little familiar with coloring using them. The Blendabilities are fabulous and oh so much cheaper, lol! They are not refillable (like Copic Markers are) but I love how you get 3 colors (light, medium and dark) in a package so you are ready to start coloring right away. No time wasted trying to figure out what 3 colors to use...Stampin' Up! did the work for us!

Just like with Copic Markers, some colors blend easier than others. One of the hardest for me was the Coastal Cabana set. I really had to work on that mailbox (see above photo). Overall I give them a thumb up and at just $11.95 per package you can't go wrong!

Here is one of the images a colored turned into a card:

Thanks for stopping by! You can get all the products for this card on my site, HERE.

Masculine Cards with Paper Pumpkin

Have you heard of Paper Pumpkin? It's an awesome box that can arrive to you each month pack full of a wonderful project. Everything is included but scissors and adhesive. It's AWESOME!! I love not know what each month will have in it. Plus I always have left over stuff to create even more items...it's definitely worth it. Especially since it's all for less than $25 a month!

The kit for May came with stamps and ink as well as cards and accessories. I made two birthday cards and two Father's day cards and still had extra banners, tags, twine and accessory pieces left over. Each kit comes with detailed instructions to make the projects - or you can be like me and do what you want. I changed mine up a bit since I knew that hubby would get one of the father's day and one of the birthday cards. Didn't want them to be exactly the same. Also the kit instructions tell you the color palette that is being used - why is that nice? It means I can grab extra cardstock to add to the projects if I want. No guessing involved!

The DSP on the front of the above card was actually a 3x3 card in the kit...I knew I wouldn't use it as a card so I just used the front part. The back part went in the pile of "extras" to use at a later time (or when I get a chance to sit back down again). Each kit is designed for you to complete in 30 minutes...that's easy to find right? And I have to admit I'm always happy after doing my kit. There's something about creating that just puts us in a good mood, right?

It's always nice to have cards made - the Father's Day cards were a hit and now I have two birthday cards ready as well. Feels good to be prepared, lol!

Usually we don't know what is coming in the box each month. But as a demonstrator I'm working on some Paper Paper Goals and was lucky enough to see the kit in a webinar. Let me tell you it is A.W.E.S.O.M.E. Can NOT wait to get that box in my mail!! If you aren't a subscriber well sorry but it's too late for you to get the kit for this month BUT I'm sure next month's kit is going to be just as cool so why not join? Plus you can sign up for an ongoing monthly subscription or a prepaid subscription of 3, 6 or 12 months! And the prepaid subscriptions are like ordering from the catalog so you get hostess benefits with a qualifying order!! How cool is that?

Contact me for more details - I'd love to get you started on your own little month of happiness each month! Thanks for stopping by!

Goodie Bags using the new Moonlight DSP

Everyone that came to my open house received one of these baggies. I tried to think of what each person would need to go through the catalog. So each bag had a pen and notebook (to make out a wish list), highlighter (highlight items you purchased or want), post-it notes (to mark all the pages), chocolate (to keep your energy up!).

I covered these mini composition notebooks with papers from Moonlight DSP stack. The stamp is from a Paper Pumpkin (past) kit.

Here is another look at the new In Colors 2014-2016: Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey, Tangelo Twist. Believe me they are BEAUTIFUL!!!

Remember you can purchase the new in colors as well as many other awesome products from my online 24/7 store, HERE. Thanks for stopping by!

Open House for NEW Catalog!

Last week I held my Open House event getting ready for the NEW catalog debut. I had a pretty good turnout and was so excited to show some new product as well as the catalog. The card was my Make N Take...so easy but such a WOW factor!

All Open Houses need food. I had sweet and salty :D Homemade cookies and cupcakes were a huge hit! See the red bucket - those held my goodie bags. Everyone that came got one (you'll see more about that in another post).

This table carried some of the new product as well as In Color samples. I made bookmarks showing the new colors and they were a hit. Nice reference to have!

Project Life is one product I'm excited about as I really want to get back into scrapbooking. I've already started getting pictures printed which is HUGE since it's been a couple of years. Next I need to sort and then I think I'm ready to start. Am I nervous? Heck ya...it's been a while! BUT I know there are a lot of friends (of mine) that are in the same boat and are ready to get started. So hoping I can motivate them as well!

Do you have the new catalog? Are you wanting one? Just email me for details. I'd be happy to get you one! You can order from the new catalog on my online website 24/7, HERE. Thanks for stopping by!
