Blessed By Your Friendship

Happy Wednesday to you! Today is a special day as school starts back up today! I can't believe the summer is over...man, it went fast! Abby's excited to start back so here's hoping that this year goes a little smoother than last.

Time for another Flutter By Wednesday! This week our challenge is to create a NEW creation using a butterfly, fairy or angel and include punches or die cuts! Easy enough, right?

For my card I used the cute digi by Wee Stamps called Suzi with Bunny. The fabulous sketch comes from The Sweet Stop this week. It was PERFECT for what I visioned I wanted to do. The butterfly is from my Martha Stewart punch. I backed it with the yellow paper and trimmed. Then I covered it with my Smooch Pearlized Top Coat. It has a nice shimmer to it! The sentiment is from a new set called Grace & Peace from The Angel Company.

So whatcha think? I hope you join us this week at Flutter By Wednesday - just head on over to the blog for all the details! Thanks for stopping by!

Flutter By Wednesday #162 - Photo Inspiration

Happy Hump Day to you...only two more days till the weekend!! I'm hoping to get a TON of crafting time in - so much I want to do and try! Today for FBW, we have a fun one - PHOTO INSPIRATION.

Isn't that a pretty photo - remember to include your fairy, butterfly or Angel on your creation. When I looked at the photo I instantly saw COLOR and knew I wanted to incorporate that.

I used the sweet new digital image, MIMI SUMMER, from Mabelle RO which you can buy HERE. I colored her with my Copics and added some white highlights with my Signo White Gel Pen. I also added Glossy Accents to her eyes. The layout came from The Sweet Stop Sketch #116.

So whatcha think? I hope you'll join us over at the Flutter By Wednesday Blog this week. Before I go I want to say goodbye to a dear friend, Kimberly, who has decided to step down from the design team. We will miss her wonderful creations each year, wish her the best and hope to see her playing along with us again. Thanks for all you've done!

Birthday Time!!

Hello everyone! Quick post here to share another fabulous digital image from Mabelle RO called Birthday Turtle. He's so cute and perfect for a boy's birthday.

I used The Sweet Stop sketch SSS111 for my layout. Papers are from TAC called Kaleidoscope Boyz. I added glitter to the cupcake and liquid applique to his hat. It was fun to create a card without pink. I did realize though I don't have a lot of non girly papers...good thing we know more girls than boys, lol!

You can get Birthday Turtle in the Whimsy and Stars Studio shop here. Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

FBW #141 (FINALLY) - Cup of Love

Sorry for the late post - I haven't been feeling well (headache/sinus issues) so I kind of waited till the last moment to work on my card. Then once I got done I wanted to add some Glossy Accents so I had to let it dry. Plus today I ended up working in the PreK room for another teacher and it snowed so I had to shovel the drive and walkway since I have a FUNShop tonight so this is the first time I've had a few minutes!

The challenge this week at Flutter By Wednesday is to use at LEAST THREE HEARTS as well as have a BUTTERFLY, FAIRY or ANGEL on it.

Also over on the TAC Savvy Projects Blog we have the FABULOUS FEBRUARY promotion so I knew I wanted to try and use the Cup Of Love stamp set featured this week.

I kept worrying about hearts that I forgot all about the butterfly/fairy/angel thing...so added an embossed butterfly to round it out. I followed the sketch over at The Sweet Stop (SSS94) this week for my card too - have I mentioned how I love their sketches? So many wonderful layers and room for embellishments!

I think this picture shows the Glossy Accents a little better. I used my Clear Stardust Gelly Pen on the polka dots and then covered the entire cup with Glossy Accents. LOVE how it turned out!

I hope you will join the challenge at FBW this week. Stop by TAC Savvy Projects Blog as well to see if you have the stamp sets we are using this week - if you do and play along you'll be eligible for the blog candy giveaway each week.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Flutter By Wednesday #140 - Open Challenge & A Wonderful Sponsor!

Welcome to another Flutter By Wednesday! Can you believe it's already February? We are knee deep in a snow storm - I'm talking blizzard baby! We have missed another two days of school...I think I'm ready to jump on the Spring bandwagon - warmer weather sounds wonderful! Heck I'll just take some sunshine right now!

It's an OPEN challenge at FBW this week and we are being sponsored by Michelle Perkett Studio.

Michelle gave us some fairies to work with and I decided to use Lilly the Fairy of Enchantment for my creation this week.

Love her big beautiful wings...of course, I had to make them sparkle!

I used The Sweet Stop Sketch #93 for my card. Remember ANYTHING GOES as long as you have a NEW creation using a butterfly, fairy or angel on it. Plus if you link your creation up on the FBW Blog by Tuesday, February 8th you'll be entered to win a free digi from Michelle Perkett Studios!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm hoping to get back to posting more than just once a month. I've been working on a few projects and I'm almost done so I'll share those soon. Softpencil will be coming back...hoping in March. Elizabeth is still working on a few "legal" issues. Plus there is all this WONDERFUL stuff going on with The Angel Company right now - so definitely look for more creations from me soon!

You're An Angel - FBW #134

Good Morning! It seems like I haven't posted too much lately. So much going on but things are starting to slow down and I'm able to hang out with my family more. Love this time of year - the snuggling on the couch, sipping hot cocoa, watching ABC Family 25 Days of Christmas...totally makes me happy!

This time of year, lots of people make me happy. I thought why not let them know...I mean shouldn't I make someone else happy especially if they were the ones that brought that smile to my face?

This wasn't what I thought I'd make at all (just ask Danni, lol). I couldn't decide what stamp I wanted to use..yes, folks I have a few to choose from! Since I was having so much trouble deciding I went and picked out a sketch I liked and then picked my image. A little backwards for me but it worked! I used The Sweet Stop Sketch SSS84 - it's a fun one!

I guess I should have said this in the beginning but the challenge over at the Flutter By Wednesday Blog this week is an OPEN one - anything goes as long as you include a fairy, butterfly or angel on it. To play along just head on over to the FBW blog for all the details and to link your creation!

Sorry for the short post...I watched the Hallmark Movie from a couple of weeks ago and cried (do it EVERY time!)...so now my eyes are on fire. Plus didn't sleep well at all so I'm VERY tired. Time to get some rest so I can do some creating tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by!!

Challenge #72 at CSAYL - Anything Goes!

Well it's with a sad heart that I type this as this is our LAST challenge over at CSAYL (Christmas Stampin' All Year Long) blog for the year. I'm not sure what I'll do with my spare time (really, what's that ha, ha, ha) but I'm sure I'll find something to do with the holidays fast approaching!

This week we are sponsored by Softpencil

The challenge is ANYTHING GOES. Elizabeth gave the DT images to use and I was asked to use Our Dear Reindeer.

How cute are they? Do I say that a lot? I guess everything I use I think is cute, lol! It was fun to color and how fun would it be to meet Rudolph?

For the layout I used Sweet Stop Sketch (SSS83). It's also a spin week where we are supposed to decorate the inside as well.
I just used more of the pattern paper and let it be my greeting/sentiment. I really like the way it turned out. So polished!

I hope you'll play along with us this week! You know you need to get some cards done since Christmas is in 29 days. Plus there is a giveaway with this challenge so why not play along! There are some ADORABLE images over at Softpencil and they are only available till January 2nd...then they'll be gone FOREVER! Oh and right now everything is 20% off at Elizabeth's Etsy store...so go check it out now! It's your own Black Friday Sale without the crowds :o)

This means that we have an awesome prize to giveaway. The winner will get to choose 5 FREE digital stamps or 4 digital stamps and 1 paper set. For my creation, I'm using the digital stamp frosty da snowman

Isn't he cute...do you see the tiny jingle bell on his hat? That's one of my metallic embellishments.

The layout came from The Sweet Stop Sketch #77...LOVE all the layers!! Totally know I will be using the sketch again. I used my favorite colors and papers plus added a little snow (Flower Soft) making this one cute card :)

Challenge #63 - Brads or Eyelets

Welcome to another Christmas Stampin All Year Friday creation! This week we are being sponsored by In Style Stamps! That means just for participating in the challenge this week you are eligible for the prize of 4 FREE digi's!!

So what's the challenge you ask? Well I'm sure this is something that you have laying around - use at least 3 brads or eyelets on your Christmas card...the more the merrier!!

My image is Ornamental Chloe..isn't she a cutie? We are having rainy weather so it was really hard to get a decent picture. The ornament sparkles - colored it with Copics and then went over it with my Clear Stardust Gelly Pen...not sure you see that though!

I have to tell you that it has just been one of those weeks for me. I made this card and then realized I didn't follow the challenge...yes, I did that on Wed for Flutter By also! SO I went back to my room and worked for another hour to try and add brads. I'm pretty sure if I would have remembered the challenge I would not have used the dot as the main background. OH WELL though :) I do have EIGHT brads on my card!! I used The Sweet Stop Sketch (SSS72) for the layout.

I'm pretty sure it's a good thing the weekend is here - I need some R&R!! Hopefully I will have some productive time in the 'ol studio, too since I need to get LOTS of projects done!! I hope you'll join in on the CSAYL challenge this week - jet on over to the blog to see all the details, the fabulous creations by the DT and to link your creation!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Recipe Challege at Flutter By Wednesday

I'm so happy to show you my card today! I finally got to use a stamp that I bought some time ago and participate in a few challenges! It's really good for the creative soul to do things YOU want to do every now and then!

So the first challenge is for Flutter By Wednesday - It's a Recipe challenge. Your creation should have a BUTTERFLY, FAIRY or ANGEL on it along with 1 part Sparkle, 2 parts Designer Papers and 3 parts Buttons or Gems.

Isn't he adorable? That's my new stamp from Lili of the Valley (LOTV) - I found out about them from a fellow blogging friend, Tammi and had to purchase a few. I bought four and have never used any of them! When I saw the challenge this week at LOTV Blog - Four Seasons - I knew what stamp I wanted to use and what season I wanted to showcase...SPRING!

I also used The Sweet Stop (SSS69) sketch for my card...love the layers! I'm also entering this into The Pink Elephant challenge (TPE80) of Ribbon & Sparkles.

I used Aquacolor Crayons and my Niji Water Brush to color this sweet image. Fun to use something other than pencils and Copics...I'm telling you creating this card just made me feel good!

I hope you'll participate in the FBW Challenge this week - stop by the blog to link your creation. Be sure to visit my fellow DT blogs...their creations are sure to help the creative mojo!

Thanks for stopping by today!

CSAYL Challenge #60 - Designer Paper & In Style Stamps

So how's the weather in your neck of the woods? Here, it's a TAD bit hot...like 105 WITHOUT the heat index! SO creating a Christmas card is nice...makes me think of colder weather! NOT SNOW mind you....gasp, I'm not ready for that! Just COOLER weather...like 75/80 degrees would be nice!

This week at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long (CSAYL), we are being sponsored by In Style Stamps! Have you seen their images? So many to choose from and oh so cute! They are offering up a prize of 4 digital images of your choice so I hope you play along with our challenge this week! Speaking of challenges...this week we'd like to see your Christmas creation using 2 or more designer papers!

Not a problem for me since I have a PAPER addiction! The problem came with WHICH papers to use, lol! I decided to use this fabulous paper from KI Memories. The image, O Christmas Tree, just touches me...I didn't have a brother but I can recall my sister and I decorating the Christmas tree and all the wonderful times we shared. I'm not going to lie...there was also some arguing :) Yes, FUN times!! I used The Sweet Stop Sketch #68 for my design.

I added a little Stickles to the ornaments and garland. I colored the image with my trusty 'ol pencils and OMS. I wasn't sure how to do the window panes. I used a light blue (not sure you can see it) trying to capture that foggy/wintery feel. Do you know what I'm trying to say? How would you do that?

Thank you to In Style Stamps for the gorgeous image. I hope you'll play along! Remember if you do, you'll be entered in the drawing to win 4 digital images that you choose! Just stop by the CSAYL blog and link your creation. While you are there check out all the fabulous creations designed by the DT using In Style Stamps!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Challenge #51 @ CSAYL - Paper Piecing

Hello to you! Are you as ready for the weekend as I am? I've got a lot going on but just saying it's Friday brings a big smile to my face! Before I get to my card, do any of you watch Grey's Anatomy? WOW what a season finale! I kept having flashbacks to the ER episode I'll NEVER be able to get out of my head....the one with Carter who gets stabbed falls to the floor and sees...ok enough. I've got chills again. That episode FREAKED me out and I had to wait the entire summer to find out if they made it. At least Grey's didn't make me wait - well at least I don't think it did. I'm pretty sure I know who died and who didn't. But you didn't stop by for TV updates so...

Today I'm sharing my card for the CSAYL (Christmas Stampin' All Year Long) Blog. The challenge is PAPER PIECING. I have to say it's a nice challenge to do - takes some of the pressure off coloring. Especially when you don't have the "right" colors to match your paper!

Can you tell what I paper pieced? I did the presents, his pj's and his hat. I decided if he was playing Santa then he should be somewhat fuzzy. So I added flock to his beard and hat. CA-UTE, right? Well he's from the HOLIDAY BOYS set from TAC.

The paper is BasicGrey Eskimo Kisses. I guess I'm kind of on a BG kick right now. I've used their paper for quite a few cards lately. The sentiment is from a Pink Cat Studio set. I used an old sketch from The Sweet Stop. I always enjoy their sketches cause they have lots of layers!

So what do you think? You likey? I must admit this is one of my favorite Christmas cards so far. Check out the CSAYL blog for details on how you can play along and maybe even win a guest designer spot. While you're there check out what the other design team members came up with.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a fantastic weekend...it's supposed to be in the 90's and sunny. It may be on the hot side but at least it won't be rainy and cloudy, right?!
