25 Days of Christmas Tags with Erin Lee Creative

Happy Sunday to you! I'm posting today because it's Erin Lee Creative's day over on Tracey's 25 Days of Tags! We are all making tags using Erin's products and it's fun to see what everyone used.

At first I was a little nervouse cause although Erin has lots of cool stamp sets I wasn't sure how many Christms there were. After looking I was pleasently surprised at all the choices I had to work with.

For my tag, I used the Holiday Blue Jay Stamp Set (which is on sale) and masked off the tree and Blue Jay in order to just use the poinsettia. I stamped the image on Snow White Pearl Cardstock (also on sale). I then colored it in using Prismacolored pencils. It was so smooth and blended the colors easily on Snow White Pearl Cardstock. Once I finished I grabbed the Holiday Sentiments stamp set to add the Merry Christmas. Isn't that font just gorgeous?! I love it. Put a bow and some string and BAM! all done!

This is  my first time participating in Tracy's 25 days of tags and I'm loving all the different inspiration that is provided every day. Thanks for stopping by!

November Stripes and Hearts Release From Erin Lee Creative!!

Happy Monday to you and welcome to another fabulous blog hop showcasing a new release from Erin Lee called Stripes and Hearts. This release has been one of my favorites. So many possibilites but more than that so many ways to make fast cards to cheer people up! I don't know about you but we need more happiness and this release does that - and very easy and quick which is a huge plus!

First up you should have arrived here from Ceal's blog. If you didn't, I will have the full blog hop list at the end of the post for you to check out. So want to see the release? Here it is...

Pretty cool, right?

I ended up doing two cards using the Striped Background Stamp and Stripe Sentiments Stamp Set. Both cards are very positive, uplifting cards that I can send to just about any of my friends. Without meaning to, for some reason this release screams rainbow - colors anyway. Funny how there isn't a single rainbow image in this release but I gravitated to using the rainbow concept.

First up I took the Striped Background Stamp and used my Karin Neon Brushpro Markers and colored directly on the stamp with them. I then spritzed them with water and staped on watercolor paper. I did it twice to make sure I filled in each color well. Once I was done with that I took the Heart Hands Stencil and placed it on top of the stripes. Using Black Soot Distress Ink & Oxide I colored the stencil in. It really covered up the neon stripes nicely. I then added the sentiment from the Strip Sentiments Stamp Set.

For my second card, I again used the Striped Backround Stamp this time in black. I set it aside to make sure it dried because sometimes my black can take awhile. Once I thought it had been long enough (I'm not a very patient crafter), I picked out my sentiments to use again from the Strip Sentiments Stamp Set and stamped each one in the ROYGBIV format (rainbow). To top it off I put a small rainbow piece of ribbon in the bottom right corner.

Both were easy to make and both will help friends in different ways. I do know that they both make me smile and feel good about myself :)

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to comment as Erin is giving away two $50 gift vouchers to be used in the ELC shop. Winners will be announced on Monday, November 9th. Next up on the blog hop is Cheryl

Here is the entire blog hop list for you in case you didn't start from the beginning:
