Thought of You Today!

Today I'd like to showcase a digital image called Spring Boy & Girl from Mabelle RO.

When I saw this image I knew I wanted to make an Anniversary card for my hubby with it. I don't have many boy images so it was fun to color this in...first time doing blue jeans and I think I did pretty good if I do say so myself :D

I used some new paper that I got at my LSS from Bazzill called Grandmas Feather Bed. Seems I do a lot of blue, pink, green combos so nice to have the purple in there for a change! The sentiment is from a Purchase With Purchase stamp that you can get for just $2.95 with a $30 purchase. It's called Thought of You. It's a two part sentiment so I decided to go ahead and decorate the inside of my card. Usually I just do card fronts...trying to get out of that habit though. I mean all the supplies are out why not "finish" the card right then and there!

Whatcha think? You can purchase Spring Boy & Girl over at the Whimsy and Stars Studio. Stop over there - Mabelle has tons of awesome digital images for sale! There is something for everyone...with more coming soon!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Dear Friend

Happy hump Day to you! Welcome to another edition of Flutter By Wednesday! The challenge this week is your favorite - OPEN! Yep, anything goes as long as you create a NEW creation using a butterfly, fairy or angel.

I just got a few new digi's last week and I couldn't wait to color in this cutie! I got Sweet Blossom at Cuddly Buddly and it's one of the Wee Stamps. CA-ute, right?! So fun and what about that paper....isn't it lovely? It's the lovely Stella Rose from My Minds Eye. Totally should have bought two of these paper pads!

Will you join us this week? I hope so! Visit the FBW Blog for all the details. If you need some more inspiration, just visit the blogs of my fellow team members (links are in my sidebar).

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

It's in the Bag!

Oh can I tell you how happy I've been since Spring has arrived!?!? The last few days have been BEAUTIFUL!! We are currently on Spring Break and we've been enjoying LOTS of outdoor time! According to the weatherman that may all change by this weekend so I will continue to enjoy it while I can!

Today I'm here with another new image from Softpencil Studios called Molly, Timmy and the Baby Chick.

I got some bags at Sam's Club to use for projects so I decided to make a little treat bag for Easter. I made a tag for the inside and of course, I'll be including some candy which I haven't bought yet. If I do it will just get eaten so I have to wait till it's a little closer to Easter before I purchase any goodies :D

I put the darling image on the outside of the bag and the tag with the sentiment is on the inside. I used scrap KI Memories paper to decorate the bag and tag. The sentiment is from The Angel Company's Joy of Easter Set which just happens to be on sale this month!

I just want to add here that I will never use yellow as a background again...did not realize how blah it looks until it was too late to retake photos so bear with it for this post, okay!

I used my Copics to color Molly, Timmy and the Baby Chick. Would you like to purchase this digital image? Well visit the Softpencil Studios where you will find this cutie as well as lots of other things I'm sure you'll want to buy!

Thanks for stopping by today...see ya tomorrow for my Flutter By Wednesday creation!

FBW #146 - Going Green &/or Sketch Challenge

Welcome to another edition of FBW! Today I am using Faith Flowers from Mabelle RO. She's available from Whimsy and Stars Studio. The challenge this week at FBW, is to use the color green and we have a fabulous sketch by Carly that you can use as well.

Remember your creation must include butterflies, fairies or an Angel. For my creation I used paper that had butterflies on it.
I've been making all kinds of yo yo's so decided to finally use one on my card. I've seen them with buttons on them but thought it would be neat to put a bow in the center. What do you think? You likey?

Be sure to stop by the FBW blog and play along! It's a wonderful sketch - one I'm sure I'll be using again and again (thank you Carly for it!). Stop by the DT's blogs to see their fabulous creations too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Painting Eggs With Amy

I'm sharing a new Softpencil image for you today called Painting Eggs With Amy. Isn't she cute? I used my Copics to color her in.

I got my colors for Amy from the fabulous paper which is by Fancy Pants. The papers were in my stash...have had them for quite some time! I seem to be collecting a lot of flowers right now so I loved how this sketch (by Sketch N Stash #57) used some. Plus I just got new Oval Spellbinders dies so was so happy to use them as well.

I'd like to welcome Jennifer and Patty to the Softpencil DT - so glad to have you and am looking forward to working with you! Have you been to the new Softpencil Website? No, well what are you waiting for...go check it out here!

I added Icicle Stickles to the top of the cupcake and boy does it shimmer! I also added Glossy Accents to her flower hat. I colored her using my Copics.

FBW #145 - Photo Inspiration

Today for Flutter By Wednesday we are using the following photo has inspiration.

When I looked at this photo I instantly knew I wanted to use the colors - blue, yellow, white, green. The flower bunches are what I wanted to be my focal point.

I used Watercolor Plants (from TAC) for the flowers. I used Paris Lights Palette Ink to stamp them and then sponged the bottom with a little Landscape Palette Ink. In a field of flowers you are sure to find a butterfly so I have one flying by :D

Pretty CAS card which is nice...no coloring which I like too. I hope you'll play along this week. I can't wait to see what the photo inspires YOU to do!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Softpencil Returns With New Designs!

We are BACK!!! I know it has seemed like a long time but believe me it was worth the wait!! Elizabeth's new website is ready and waiting for you to go visit...so what are you waiting for?! Head over to Softpencil Studios now!

Today the design team is showing one of Elizabeth's newest images - Happy Easter.

Aren't they cute? I colored it using my pencils and OMS and then added a little Glossy Accents to the egg.

I used The Joy Of Easter stamp set (from TAC) for my sentiment. For you scrapbookers out there, wouldn't this image look darling on a page about egg hunting? I think I need to try that next :D

Thanks for stopping by today! Sorry I haven't been by to comment on your blogs...last week I got sick and went to the doctor. I was prescribed some medicine and the next day woke up with a terrible case of hives. Realized I'm allergic to the antibiotic so had to get some new medicine. Finally the hives are gone but I'm still pretty tired plus this week I'm subbing for the PreK room. Hoping to get back to "normal" this weekend so bare with me, please!
