Update Plus Some Changes!

I'm finding it difficult to keep up with all the social media sites there are at the moment. My family always comes first and with all the activities Abby is in, I find that I only have a few minutes here and there to connect. Therefore, for the time being I will be posting regularly on my Facebook page. I can do quick posts and still enjoy life with the family.

I love(d) blogging but honestly here lately it has become a to-do chore rather than a fun activity. I don't like that so I'm taking a little break and we will see how things go. I'm not closing my blog cause I hope that I will get back to the love I once had for it - where I posted fun projects and updates on my family!

If you want to continue to stay up to date with my projects and events please join my Facebook page at www.facebook.com/pages/Made4ubymichelle/557799584253510.  Hope to see you there!

Have a wonderful day/week/month/summer - and remember to enjoy all the time you can with loved ones! Thanks for stopping by!

Triple Stamping Technique For Mother's Day!

At Stamp Club last month we used the Choose Happiness Stamp Set from the Occasions Catalog. It's such a wonderful set cause it has a few images (see flower) as well as a TON of sentiments! You can easily find what you are needing/wanting to say!

For this card we used the Triple Stamping Technique over on Splitcoaststampers. It's such a fun a pretty technique to do!

We used the new In colors for the card - makes it easy to coordinate everything! Little pearls are added to each of the flower centers.

On the inside we put another flower as well as our sentiment. Since Mother's Day is coming up that is what most of us picked.

Are You A List Maker? You'll Love These Journals!

There are so many challenges in social media and one that is going on right now is called #Listersgottalist Challenge. Although I haven't started it yet (yes, I know it's the 11th....we will catch up) it's a FUN challenge with lots of opportunities to showcase your thoughts & likes right now. I've been waiting for my daughter to do it together as I think it will be cool for her to look back at it in 10 years. We start working on it tomorrow :D

The point to all that is these journals would be perfect for that challenge or for any type of list you need to make. It's the Grid Kraft Journals covered with DSP to look like little purses.

The front has a pocket on it and it's held closed with a button/velcro closure. So cute and fun to carry around. Plus it fits nicely in my purse/bag so I can take it everywhere!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Amazingly Beautiful Journals!

I have a fabulous upline (Becky Roberts) and she comes up with some of the BEST tutorials!! When I saw her journal purses I knew I had to try it!

These are the small journals. I used the Painted Petals Stamp Set and Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper as well as Blackberry Bliss to make these.

The image on the front is also a pocket where you can tuck little reminders or pictures in. Everything is held closed with a small Velcro dot. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how these turned out!! They are going to make such wonderful gifts. I just love the fact that I'm going to have a pretty notebook in my purse for me to jot down all those ideas when they hit me!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Weekly Deals & Blendabilities Update!

I hope you are still feeling lucky cause we got some great deals this week!

You can find them HERE.

By the way, I want to take a moment and let everyone know (if they haven't already heard) that Stampin' Up! has decided to discontinue all Blendabilities. Please note, that this was not an easy decision for Stampin' Up! but one that they feel is right since they have had problems with the quality of the pens. If anything, Stampin' Up! is known for the wonderful quality (and guarantee of those products) and these pens were not living up to that. Many sets were drying out - so some people would get their wonderful Blendabilities only to have them not work. Others would get them and within in weeks they would dry out. This is NOT acceptable and since the manufacture and Stampin' Up! can not settle the problem their only option was to discontinue them.

Stampin' Up! is working right now to get money refunded or items exchanged for something else. There are a lot of customers and who know how many people this may impact. I urge you to try your Blendabilities out though...and keep trying even if they are working now. It looks like everything needs to be reported and fixed before June 15th.

Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks for stopping by today!

A Dotty Celebration

Since our first club project was pretty involved, I made this one super simple. It actually uses two stamp sets that you can get FREE during Sale-A-Bration. One is Big Day and the other is Best Day Ever. The dots are achieved by stamping multiple times before re-inking. The sentiment is colored in using Stampin' Write Markers. A little Thick Baker's Twine finishes it off. Super simple and oh so cute. Plus if you change the colors you can have cards ready for those boy birthday's as well!

Chalkboard Birthday!

Today I want to share another card using Big Day which you can get for FREE when you spend $50 or more during Sale-A-Bration. I can't believe that this is the last month of Sal-A-Bration...it ends March 31st so hurry and get these products while you can!

This card uses the new Chalkboard Ink and Chalkboard Paper that is featured in the Occasions Catalog. The Chalkboard paper is pretty thick and can be used with the Chalkboard ink or White Craft Pad. You use a certain side depending on the ink you are using. Here is a close up...

And here is the whole card

The paper is also from the Occasions Catalog called Stacked With Love. It's the Designer Series Paper Stack which means you get 48 sheets of 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 paper. One side has colored and the other side is all black and white. Perfect for ALL those projects you are working on.

I wanted this to be one of the club projects but the procrastinator in me didn't have enough of the Designer Series Paper so it ended up being just a sample for them to see. I knew I should have bought like 5 of those paper pads, lol!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope your weekend is fabulous!

Shake Shake Shake it - A Birthday Shaker Card!

One day I might get it together...Geez. I finally got a planner (long story) and I am now in the process of trying to get all scraps of paper, post-it notes, etc. into the planner. In the process I have forgot some current to-do's one of which is to post on the blog!

How was your weekend? Here - it was snowy and I had to do a cookie booth with my Girl Scout Troop. Not the ideal weather but we do what we have to! Plus we have about 262 packages of cookies and less then two weeks to sell them, lol!

I really wanted to make this one of our projects for Stamp Club in February but I didn't have the "proper" items to make the shaker card. I used what I had and it wasn't easy to do. Plus I didn't have enough supplies for the group the way I did it.

Stampin' Up! makes it easy to make shaker cards since they have 1/8" foam frames with double-sided adhesive. Each package come with 36 frames - 6 of each size (1/2", 3/4", 1", 1 1/4", 1 1/2", 1 3/4"). So I just made a sample and will make a shaker card for another month. Here's a close up of the shaker area.

I was thinking about coloring the window sheet but since there is so much color with the DSP and then the confetti in the shaker circle I opted not to.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Check back on Wednesday when I will give a sneak peak of my upcoming class!

Using Scraps for a Quick Birthday Card!

How can it be Monday already? Geez - I wish the weekends would be just a tad longer!

Today I'm showcasing another card using the stamp set Big Day. I'm not sure you can tell but the card front is embossed with the large dot embossing folder. I then went through my scraps to create this fast and easy card.

In order to get the sentiment to be two colors, I just used my Stampin' Write markers and colored directly on the stamp. I then "huffed" it and stamped on my Very Vanilla Cardstock. I'm digging the red and turquoise color combo (which I pulled from my DSP). Have I mentioned how much I love that everything coordinates with SU! products. Sure does make it easy!

Celebrate Your Big Day!

Happy Saturday to you! Today I'm showing a card made using the stamp set Big Day. It's a FREE stamp set that you can receive when you order $50 in merchandise. It's one of the choices you can pick from during Sale-A-Bration.

On this particular card I saw someone on Pinterest use the Dots Mask and knew I had to do it too. It's so easy and fun and it's such a WOW to see in person. I was going to change the colors but the red, orange and yellow just make me happy :D

Since the sentiment mentions cake I decided to put the cake on the inside corner of the card. I colored the it a little again using the red, orange and yellow color scheme.

We made this card for stamp club this month. It was our technique card. With the masks only being $2.95 (for two) it's well worth the price. The dots mask also has a stripes mask with it. I haven't used it yet but it's on the to do list!

Thanks for stopping by today!

YUM Goodie Bags! It's a Paper Pumpkin Kit!

I know I've mentioned Paper Pumpkin before. It's a monthly kit that arrives in your mailbox and has everything (except adhesive) you need to complete a project in about 30 minutes or so. Plus it's less than $25 a month!

This is a project from last month (January) that I'm just now getting put together. I knew when I saw it I wanted to use it as "thank yous" to my class participants as well as to a few special people.

The kits came with EVERYTHING - I didn't even have to use adhesive on this one cause they included glue dots on it. The kit came with everything to make 24 bags of goodies. The stamps included in the kit had Happy Valentines' Day but also had this ENJOY and YUM which is perfect for AFTER Valentine's Day!

And since I'm a monthly subscriber I can purchase extra kits if available. Which I totally did!! Yep, Abby will be having these next year for her class!

I hope you had a great weekend! Here is to a great week! Happy Monday :D Thanks for stopping by!
