Thought of You Today

Welcome to another Flutter By Wednesday!! This week the challenge is a favorite among you - it's an OPEN challenge...anything goes as long as there is a fairy, butterfly or angel on it!

I actually colored this image for last weeks FBW but never finished the card due to getting sick. Good news, I went back to the doctor today and I got more medicine so hopefully I will kick the infections butt this time!!

I used CardPatterns Sketch 86 for my layout...it's perfect with this large stamp. Gotta love the Swiss Pixies - first time I've used this stamp too, so yeah for me! I did a combination of Copics and pencils with OMS. Check out that bow too...AWESOME, right? Love the button, twine, ribbon combination I'm always seeing and just had to try it.

I hope you find some time to join in on our challenge this week! Head on over to the Flutter By Wednesday Blog to link your creation and to see all the wonderful inspiration. This week we are saying goodbye to fellow DT member Randi for awhile as she takes cares of some things...we will miss her and look forward to her returning!! Also, I never took the opportunity to welcome Kaylou to the team as the October Guest DT...welcome!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Flutter By Wednesday #103

Time for another Flutter By Wednesday! This week the challenge is to use blue, green and white along with a butterfly, fairy or angel in your creation! Please only submit NEW creations for this challenge. Also, visit the Flutter By Wednesday Blog for details about linking your creation. You need to link directly to your creation (not just your blog) and we are using a new linking system this week. No worries, though - you'll find everything you need at the blog! Got questions, just ask me - I'd be more than happy to help!

Ok for my card I used the Pure Innocence digi called Swing & Butterfly. It's such a cute image!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this color scheme. I seem to always use pink and it was such a nice change to not use it - and the results are so worth it! The paper is from Scenic Route. I used Card pattern Sketch 57 for my card and am submitting it for their challenge this week. Not sure if you can tell but I paper pieced her dress so that it would match the paper perfectly.

This is my first time using any Pure Innocence images and I'm POSITIVE it won't be my last - they are so darn cute! I wasn't sure I could match the greens very well with my Copics. Guess that means I need to buy some more - think hubby would go with that logic?

I hope you'll play along with our challenge this week! We've had a fantastic turnout with participation each week and all of us on the DT enjoy looking at all the wonderful creations. Don't forget to stop by the DT's blogs and see what they did this week as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm going to be busy today trying to finish Easter goodies for my preschool class and Abby's Kindergarten class. The weather is supposed to be in the 80's with some sun so that will definitely help! Yesterday I opened the windows in the house - amazing what fresh air can do. I had one of my most productive days in a LONG time!

Happy Heart

Hello to you! I sure hope I wake up to some sunshine today but pretty sure that's not going to happen! Supposedly another winter storm is on the way which means we could see some more snow! Since things are still cold around here I decided to combine Valentine's Day and winter in my card. I made this card for three different challenges. First, CardPatterns #49 sketch - been wanting to play along but haven't had a chance so this is my first time! Second, the Softpencil Challenge #17 which was to use bling, brads or both. Third, Paper Sundaes which is a new challenge site (check it out...very cool) need to have a Valentine theme.

The image is a digi from Softpencil called A Lovely Couple. I colored them with my Copics and added some Flower Soft Polar White for snow. The sentiment is from a retired set, Heart Twinz by The Angel Company. The paper is from KI Memories and I think it works PERFECTLY with this image! Here's a close up of the cute couple:

So whatcha think? I'll be giving this one to my hubby. He has an eye conference in Kansas City the 12th & 13th so I'll be going with him and Abby will be staying with Grandma & Papa. I'm looking forward to some quality time with hubby as well as some shopping, dinner and dancing!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
