FBW #196 - Thinking of You

This week at Flutter By Wednesday we are having a card drive for BUTTERFLY KISSES. You can see all the details over on the Flutter By Wednesday Blog

The challenge is to make a thinking of you/get well/keep fighting card. Make sure you include a butterfly, fairy or angel on your NEW creation!

I went for a CAS layout...no pattern paper this week and no coloring! Felt good, too!
The weather has been wonderful the last few days...I've been soaking up the sun, enjoying family time and reading books. Crafting hasn't been coming to me lately. I'm in a little funk...trying other things to see if my creativity returns. Honestly, I'm ready to get scrappin again but not sure where to start. I mean I have the photos and supplies but it's been FORever since I've done a layout. Lots going on right now, too. In a couple months I'll be turning the big 40...I think I'm trying to reevaluate a few things. You know a milestone birthday can do that, lol! Anyway, I guess I'm rambling...just was mentioned why there aren't a lot of posts from me I guess.

Thanks for stopping by!

FBW #195 - For Somebunny Special!

Good Morning! Welcome to another week at Flutter By Wednesday! This week is every one's favorite - OPEN! ANYTHING GOES AS LONG AS YOUR CREATION IS NEW AND INCLUDES A BUTTERFLY, FAIRY or ANGEL ON IT.

I've seemed to be collecting digi stamps so I decided to use one. This is one of Tiddly Inks new Wryn images. It's called Somebunny Loves You. I think she is so cute...makes me think of my Abby.

I used the March 2012 SFYTT for my card (it's a wonderful sketch that I'm sure I'll use again!)

I wanted the image to stand out so I didn't use really bold patterns. I did add a few extra embellishments though as it was difficult for me not to have ribbon and such on my card.

So whatcha think? I hope you'll join us at FBW this week...head over to the blog for all the details on how you can join us. I also have some sad news. There are a few team members that are leaving us - Mary and Kristie we wish you the best of luck and hope to see you fluttering with us when you can!

We are on Spring Break this week so I've been having some serious family time. Yesterday we saw The Lorax (very cute movie), went bowling, shopping and out to eat. It was a very full day! The weather has been nice but this week wouldn't you know that it's been raining constantly! We are pretty sick of it and am crossing our fingers we get a little sunshine soon! I do have to say that everything is turning green and blooming so Spring is definitely here!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week!!

St. Patty Teddy

Today was the last day of school for Abby and I for the next 10 days!! Yep it's Spring Break for us here in Kansas. Friday we will be working on our Girl Scout Float for the St. Patrick's Day Parade. So I'm getting in the mood for some green!

Mabelle has this CUTE digital stamp, St. Patty's Teddy available in the Whimsy and Stars Studio Etsy shop that is perfect to use with green. I just had to make a card with it...and realize that you can use this after St. Patty's day. I mean I can totally make some "LUCKY" to have you as a friend cards!!

I used an old sketch (#49) from My Time Made Easy. I don't seem to get to play along with challenges as they happen but I can't let a good sketch go to waste! I was also able to dig in my scrap bin which is always a plus to use them up!

Thanks for stopping by!

FBW #194 - For The Kids

This week at Flutter By Wednesday we are doing a special card drive for Send A Smile 4 Kids. That means that we want to see those cards for KIDS! Remember you must include a butterfly, fairy or angel on it to be a part of the FBW Challenge. To see all the details about Send A Smile 4 Kids and their requirements, check the FBW blog.

I seem to always do girly stuff so I really wanted to use my boy stamps. I looked through my stamp book and came across this set, Rolling By. It was fun pulling blues, greens and oranges instead of pinks and purples.

I had this "plan" and was so freakin' stoked to do the card and then realized I needed a fairy, butterfly or angel. Well that's easy for me on a girly card...not so much on a boy card. I decided to add little butterflies since the boy would be zooming by and they'd be fluttering out of the way, lol.

Last week I welcomed Peggy back...but really it should have been done this week. So welcome (again) Peggy!! Glad you're back on the team!

I hope you'll decide to join us at make some child happy. There are so many out there that could use a smile! Just head over to the FBW blog for all the details! Thanks for stopping by!

This week we are being sponsored by Robyn's Fetish. I decided to work with Babette The Bunny for my creation. The challenge is to make a NEW creation with a SPRING THEME and remember to include your butterfly, fairy or angel on it!

My card design comes from Carly's Sketch (#51) and I used my new Doodlebug Hello Spring 6x6 paper pad which just SCREAMS Spring to me! I like the happy colors and am ready to see some GREEN around here!

We've got a few changes on the FBW team...first, Peggy is joining us again (welcome back!). Sadly, Amanda is leaving us and this will be her last week with us. We'll miss you, Amanda and hope to see you fluttering with us again!
