SpecTACular Thursday - Delicate Florals

I'm so excited to share my card with you this week for specTACular Thursday! I had a blast creating this card. As you know on Thursday's, Danni & I like to showcase a creation using The Angel Company (TAC) products. The entire month of February, TAC's blog - Savvy Projects, has been showcasing a stamp set by different guest designers. This week, Chris Franco used the stamp set DELICATE FLORALS.

I made this card for my Mom - I wanted her to know how special she is to me! I first tried coloring the image with my Aquacolor Crayons & Niji Water Brush but just wasn't getting the vibrant colors I wanted. So I decided to switch to the trusty 'ol Copics.

As you can see I added a little bit of Stardust Clear Gelly Pen to the flowers. Seem to be grabbing that a lot lately. I like that it's easy to use and dries instantly!

For the month of February you can purchase Delicate Florals at 25% off - making it just
$11.96. What a great deal!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you've enjoyed my creation. Be sure to stop by Danni's blog and see what wonderful TAC stamp she's using today!

FBW #143 - Hello Friend

Hello Friends :D Welcome to another Flutter By Wednesday creation. This week the challenge is a favorite (and popular) one - OPEN...ANYTHING GOES as long as you use a BUTTERFLY, FAIRY or ANGEL on it.

For my creation I decided to use the cutie from Mabelle R.O., Whimsy and Stars Studio - FLOWER GIRL.

I had a blast coloring her. I pulled my colors from the background paper, which has my butterflies on it :D I added a little shimmer using my Stardust Gelly Pen to the flowers on her head. You can see that better in the next photo.

I hope you find some time to play along with us this week. Be sure to stop by the FBW blog for all the details and to link your NEW creation. Remember you can find other wonderful inspiration from the DT just by visiting their blog (links are on my sidebar).

Thanks for stopping by today!

SpecTACular Thursday Returns! Plus Some Exciting News

Since we are halfway through February I guess it's time to get back to the routine! Welcome to another edition of specTACular Thursday. If you are new to my blog on Thursday's I like to feature a creation using stamps from The Angel Company. Speaking of The Angel Company I'm also so happy and excited to announce that I was chosen as one of the 10 to be on the TAC Dream Team for 2011!! What a fabulous group it is too - I'm beyond thrilled to be a part of it! Look for one of my first assignments on February 28th.

So back to my creation - it's one I did at my FUNShops last month. It would be perfect for Valentine's Day or an Anniversary.
The main focal point of the card is embossed using the stamp set Victorian Elements. I don't think the above picture shows it too well.

Whatcha think? You could do an entire sheet of embossed images and then cut to 3 1/2 x 3 1/4 in order to make a bunch of cards at once. Just by changing the sentiment or colors you could have a nice thinking of you or birthday card as well.

Be sure to stop by Danni's blog to see what fabulous creation she's come up with this week. It's nice to have her creating again since her move.

Please Note: I am a demonstrator for The Angel Company. You can find these stamps and products for purchase on my website - http://www.michellem.ismyangel.net/. For easy reference, I've added everything under FEATURED PRODUCTS on my site. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to order outside the US.

FBW #142 - RAINBOWS

This week the challenge at Flutter By Wednesday is to use a RAINBOW or a RAINBOW of colors PLUS a butterfly, fairy or angel. I had no idea what I was going to do but then I was checking out The Twinery blog and instantly I knew...

Simple but cute - just the way I like it. And it says it all - gotta love that! I hope you'll join us at FBW this week. Stop by the blog to see all the details and to link your NEW creation. Be sure to stop by the other design team members blogs to see what they came up with!

Abby has been sick since last Thursday so I haven't been doing much creating. I thought she was doing better but yesterday she felt horrible and was in bed very early. I'm ready for all the sickie germs to be outta here :D Thanks for stopping by today!!

FBW #141 (FINALLY) - Cup of Love

Sorry for the late post - I haven't been feeling well (headache/sinus issues) so I kind of waited till the last moment to work on my card. Then once I got done I wanted to add some Glossy Accents so I had to let it dry. Plus today I ended up working in the PreK room for another teacher and it snowed so I had to shovel the drive and walkway since I have a FUNShop tonight so this is the first time I've had a few minutes!

The challenge this week at Flutter By Wednesday is to use at LEAST THREE HEARTS as well as have a BUTTERFLY, FAIRY or ANGEL on it.

Also over on the TAC Savvy Projects Blog we have the FABULOUS FEBRUARY promotion so I knew I wanted to try and use the Cup Of Love stamp set featured this week.

I kept worrying about hearts that I forgot all about the butterfly/fairy/angel thing...so added an embossed butterfly to round it out. I followed the sketch over at The Sweet Stop (SSS94) this week for my card too - have I mentioned how I love their sketches? So many wonderful layers and room for embellishments!

I think this picture shows the Glossy Accents a little better. I used my Clear Stardust Gelly Pen on the polka dots and then covered the entire cup with Glossy Accents. LOVE how it turned out!

I hope you will join the challenge at FBW this week. Stop by TAC Savvy Projects Blog as well to see if you have the stamp sets we are using this week - if you do and play along you'll be eligible for the blog candy giveaway each week.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Desktop Calendar

Good Morning! I don't know what it is but I can't seem to have enough calendars. I enjoy making them and usually try and give them as gifts. This year I'm a little late but it's okay since there is still a lot of 2011 left! To make it easier I used the stamp set Thanking God - it has these cute little birds that go with each season. I added a few other stamp sets to compliment the seasons and yahoo...an instant calendar.

The calendar is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of cardstock scored at 4 1/4. Each season is the size of an A2 card. The bottom of the colored cardstock on each side is not adhered so that the stand can easily slip in.

I like the size of it - small enough to sit on my desk but not too small that I can't read the dates. Yes, as I get older the eye sight gets just a tad worse....thank goodness I know a good eye doctor who can get me some stylish readers :D

Hope you've enjoyed my creation today! Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Retiform Blog Hop

Can you believe it? Another post and creation from me..WOWZERS! So The Angel Company is sponsoring a Retiform Blog Hop this weekend. If you are like me you are thinking what is Retiform? Well it's a technique - one I might add that is pretty cool!

So my first attempt...not too bad but not what I was looking for

Couple things with this one. I used chalk ink instead of dye ink and although I LOVE the background (which is the Retiform Technique) I'm not lovin' the focal image. Like I said, not horrible but just not my usual thing.

So I decided to try again. This time I watched a video from Heather about the Retiform Technique (You can see it HERE). I like these results so much more...

It was really fun and I'm planning on doing this card for my FUNShop that is coming up. I think the girls will enjoy trying out this technique!

There are a few more hours to get your Retiform creation in. You can go HERE to see all the wonderful entries and to play along!

Thank for stopping by - I'll be back tomorrow (gasp...three posts in a row!!) with my calendar :D

A Few Cards - Easter, Valentine & Thinking of You

I mentioned how I was working on some projects and am happy to share a few cards that I finished. I also created a calendar to share but thought it was too many photos for this post....so look for those tomorrow :D

First up an Easter card using the stamp set Graphic Blooms. It was fun to create a card without having to do any coloring...I let the stamps do all the work.

Next up a sweet little Valentine Day card. I have to say I ADORE how this turned out...so cute, right?

I enjoyed coloring this little cutie with my Copics...

Last but certainly not least is my FAVORITE card...LOVE how this one turned out!

Doesn't it make ya gasp a little? Love how the image just POPS right at ya!

I embossed the image on watercolor paper and then colored it in with my Copics.

So whatcha think? I hope you have enjoyed them. It was fun to create cards just to create...and to do some different things. Please stop back by tomorrow to see my calendar creation. Until then, thanks for stopping by!

Flutter By Wednesday #140 - Open Challenge & A Wonderful Sponsor!

Welcome to another Flutter By Wednesday! Can you believe it's already February? We are knee deep in a snow storm - I'm talking blizzard baby! We have missed another two days of school...I think I'm ready to jump on the Spring bandwagon - warmer weather sounds wonderful! Heck I'll just take some sunshine right now!

It's an OPEN challenge at FBW this week and we are being sponsored by Michelle Perkett Studio.

Michelle gave us some fairies to work with and I decided to use Lilly the Fairy of Enchantment for my creation this week.

Love her big beautiful wings...of course, I had to make them sparkle!

I used The Sweet Stop Sketch #93 for my card. Remember ANYTHING GOES as long as you have a NEW creation using a butterfly, fairy or angel on it. Plus if you link your creation up on the FBW Blog by Tuesday, February 8th you'll be entered to win a free digi from Michelle Perkett Studios!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm hoping to get back to posting more than just once a month. I've been working on a few projects and I'm almost done so I'll share those soon. Softpencil will be coming back...hoping in March. Elizabeth is still working on a few "legal" issues. Plus there is all this WONDERFUL stuff going on with The Angel Company right now - so definitely look for more creations from me soon!
