FBW #192 & Feb 2012 SFYTT

Good Morning! We had some crazy weather last night so I was unable to get my post up. I couldn't believe that we had thunderstorms and tornadoes in FEBRUARY! Crazy!! I'm thinking that the snow is not going to be happening for us this year...seems it has skipped right over us. It feels a lot more like Spring now.

FBW #191 - Photo Inspiration

Hello Blogging Friends! Have you ever had those weeks/days/months years when everything and anything goes wrong. I didn't even know what day it was! Abby was out of school for 5 days and my schedule is all out of whack....add in hubby throwing some stuff at me and well it's been one heck of a week!

I'm just excited that I actually got an opportunity to use the computer so I could post this (after I remembered it was Wednesday, lol). So this week at Flutter By Wednesday we have a photo inspiration challenge. Interpret it anyway you want but remember to include a butterfly, fairy or angel on it.

Such a pretty picture. When I looked at it I saw PINK, FLOWERS and BUTTERFLIES. So I decided to use one of Mabelle's new digi's, Teddy's Flower. You can see all the new digi's on the Whimsy & Stars Studio Blog.

I colored using my pencils and OMS - been a long time since I've used them. Seems like I'm always grabbing for my Copics.

FBW #190 - Winged Things

We've got a special challenge for you this week at Flutter By Wednesday - your creation should be NEW and have ANYTHING WITH WINGS!!! That's right, for this week only your creation doesn't have to have a butterfly, fairy or angel. Just something with wings.

I decided to color up an image from Mo Manning called Wonderful Day. I LOVE hummingbirds and was excited to share a creation this week with something other than my normal butterflies, fairies or angels.
I used a sketch from CPS. They have a lot of them to celebrate their anniversary. I went with Day 5 which you can see here.

Angel Heart

Happy Valentine's Day to you!! I hope you have a love filled day :D I'm just stopping by to share another creation using Mabelle RO digi called Angel Heart.

I paper pieced her dress and hat with some of the fabulous Echo Park paper. I found the perfect sentiment in my MFT Pure Innocence stamp collection. I think this will make a great thinking of you card! I tried a new coloring technique on her wings and I must say I LOVE it!

The sketch I used is an old one from Raise the Bar. Love that the card is larger (5x7) and has so many layers.

FBW #189 - LOVE Recipe Featuring Poppy the Circus Girl!

Oh my have you seen these adorable digis over at Saturated Canary? They are so so cute!! She recently had a sale and I had to pick up a few (ok QUITE a few, lol) for my ever growing digi collection.
This little cutie is Poppy the Circus Girl, A Ragamuffin. I love her outfit and her little "friend". I decided to use her for this week's challenge over at Flutter By Wednesday.

It's a LOVE challenge -

L - two or more layers

O - have an ODD number of embellishments

V - have the color violet on your creation

E - you can use any color EXCEPT red

PLUS REMEMBER TO INCLUDE YOUR BUTTERFLY, FAIRY or ANGEL on your creation!

I just got one of the PTI Think Big Favorites and I must say they are DE.lish - love them! I will definitely be putting more on my wish list! I used The Deconstructed Sketch #37 for my layout - it was perfect for Miss Poppy!
My embellishments are 2 flowers, 2 butterflies and 1 bow for a total of 5 which is an odd number. Although it may look like I used red, I did not. EVERYTHING is pink! The paper is by MME called Lime Twist.

Meet Lucy

Friends meet Lucy - isn't she adorable? She used to be available as a rubber stamp through The Angel Company but now you can get her through Whimsy and Stars Studio as a digital stamp! Yippee!!

I had to use my favorite Valentine's Day color combo again - pink, red and purple! She's perfect to let those friends know they are in your heart.
I used The Sweet Stop Sketch (SSS144) for my layout along with some doodlebug papers. I really like how it turned out. Whatcha think?

Well I'm a little later than I thought I'd be and as I type this I realize I'm going to be a little later because I forgot the main thing...butterflies, fairies or angels!
