Are you as ready for the weekend as I am? I am hoping to get TONS accomplished!! Plus it's getting cold (like freezing) then it's perfect to stay indoors creating and drinking coffee :)
Since it's Friday it's time for another Christmas Stampin' All Year Long creation! Today we are doing a color challenge - use purple and silver on your holiday creation.
Not sure why this was so difficult for me...I think I spent hours (ok not really) trying to find pattern paper that would work. Next I looked for silver..guess what? I don't own any silver paper :) So grey it is. Last was to find something that I didn't have to color since I wanted to use only purples and silver.
I hope you'll have an easier time than I did. I like the card and well it's one more done for the year :) Can you believe that November is almost here? Now is the time to start those holiday cards if you haven't already! Stop by the CSAYL blog to see some more wonderful inspiration and to play along!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Arghhhh
So I've decided to be honest with my blogging friends and let you in on a secret - I CAN'T do it all! That's right...sometimes I just can't complete all I need to. Which means, I didn't get my FBW card done yet. I had VERY good intentions but my headache got the best of me. I have to tell you that being sick is no fun and it sucks even more when the medication doesn't seem to be working.
I am going to work on my card today and hope to post it later on. The challenge is to create a card using the colors PURPLE, ORANGE and BLACK along with a butterfly, fairy or angel. Yes, folks I've done a few cards using this color combo but ANOTHER one will be coming :) I do hope you'll join us! Stop by the Flutter By Wednesday blog to get all the details!
Need some inspiration - go check out the DT's blogs. I'm sure they were able to whip up a card easily using these colors! Oh and welcome Jen to the team...I can't wait to see what she creates! Thanks to Kaylou for being the October Guest DT...it was a pleasure having you!!
Hope you'll stop back by...love having you as a support system. It does keep me motivated and helps me keep my spirits up!!

I think he looks good in stripes :) I'm partial to white kitties since my Jasmine is. Another thing I did was use a white gel pen to add a few details. Is it just me or is that picture bright? You can't even see my outline...which I did in a pale green. I'm using a new camera and the laptop so maybe that's the problem.

Thought of You Today
Welcome to another Flutter By Wednesday!! This week the challenge is a favorite among you - it's an OPEN challenge...anything goes as long as there is a fairy, butterfly or angel on it!
I actually colored this image for last weeks FBW but never finished the card due to getting sick. Good news, I went back to the doctor today and I got more medicine so hopefully I will kick the infections butt this time!!
I hope you find some time to join in on our challenge this week! Head on over to the Flutter By Wednesday Blog to link your creation and to see all the wonderful inspiration. This week we are saying goodbye to fellow DT member Randi for awhile as she takes cares of some things...we will miss her and look forward to her returning!! Also, I never took the opportunity to welcome Kaylou to the team as the October Guest DT...welcome!!

I used CardPatterns Sketch 86 for my layout...it's perfect with this large stamp. Gotta love the Swiss Pixies - first time I've used this stamp too, so yeah for me! I did a combination of Copics and pencils with OMS. Check out that bow too...AWESOME, right? Love the button, twine, ribbon combination I'm always seeing and just had to try it.

Adorable Mummies
Well it's seems like forever but I'm back and trying to get going again! My family and I went to Disney World for a week - we had a great time! Abby and I did end up getting pretty sick and we are both still trying to get well...I tease everyone saying that Mickey was just too much for us! We took lots of pictures which I'll share soon.
Today though, I'd like to share a Softpencil creation. You might remember that usually I post a Softpencil card on Thursday. Well in October we started posting on Tuesdays...but with my schedule, vacation and being sick I haven't posted anything! Boohoo as the digi's are AWESOME!! Take today's digi - ADORABLE MUMMIES
pretty cute, huh? I just had to add flock to Michu & Ratiny...so they are CUTE and FUZZY!!
Since I haven't been creating the last few weeks, I haven't been participating in challenges. I did go back through the last few weeks though to check out all the wonderful sketches out there. This is an old Taylored Expression sketch (TESC129).
Stop by Softpencil Blog to see all the new stuff Elizabeth has plus the wonderful SALE that is going on! Thanks so much for stopping by!!

I used the Stardust Clear Gelly Pen to add shimmer to the stars on his cute little hat. I was able to get a few new Copics last month so I wanted to use the gray/black look...getting better with that. You know what they say, practice makes perfect!

Gift Set Challenge #6 for CSAYL - Double Pocket Bag
Since it's the first of the month (HOLY MOLY) it's time for a gift set challenge over at Christmas Stampin' All Year Long. This week we are doing the Double Pocket Bag. You can find the tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers.
Such a cute little bag. I used MME paper with glitter on it and it was a little difficult to score and fold. I'm going to do it again but with a little lighter weight paper. The Santa image is actually from a MME pre-made card...I just cut it out, inked it with brown ink and adhered it to my bag. Here is a closer look at the Double Pocket Bag:
The sentiment is from The Angel Company's HOLIDAY WISHES set. I usually give my hubby and sister cd's for Christmas. I'm thinking I could use this to put them in. I know that a gift card would fit in it...maybe my sister will get an ITunes gift card this year. We were supposed to make a matching card so I used the same paper for the background and just added a little bling.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a SUPER weekend!!
