CPS #99 Lattebella

Wow, can you believe it? I made the deadline for TWO challenges this week!! WhoHoo! I have to say that this one took me awhile. I was totally over thinking everything. Not sure if it's my favorite but it has a Bella and I love the color combo so two out of three ain't bad!! I used CPS Sketch #99

I LOVE coffee! I should say I love what coffee means to me - Back in TN I would visit Starbucks at least weekly with my great friends Rhonda & Ellen. So it's not just about the coffee but the friendships and conversations. I wasn't sure what sentiment I was going to use with the stamp. Then low & behold last week when I was at a stamp store I found the PERFECT stamp to go with it.

Perfect, right? Here's to warm cups of coffee and great friendships!! Now that I've moved I'm looking for both - wanna apply???

It's really cold outside so I'm trying to stay warm but it's kind of hard...think I'll go make me some coffee - decaf that is or I'll be up ALL night! Who am I kidding, I'm up all night anyway!

Snow Friends

There are so many blogs out there with such great inspiration and I'm always trying to participate but for whatever reason it doesn't always work out. Yesterday though, everything just clicked. I needed to make some cards for a snowman swap that I joined. I know exactly what image I wanted to use, Snowman Circle from Stamping Bella and when I saw Amy Rysavy's Friday Sketch #44, I knew it would be perfect for it!

DP is from MME. I used my pencils and OMS for the snowman. Here is a close up of the image:

I know snowmen aren't blue but I felt I need to color him something and he matches the paper perfectly! I think he's really cute! I'm happy to report I got all the cards made and some extras for myself!!

Flutter By Wednesday #2

It's my second week as a featured stamper on the Flutterby Wednesday team and I'm having so much fun! I'm using stamps that have never been inked as well as paper I've had in my stash for-EVER! If you aren't playing along, what are you waiting for??? Join in and share your butterfly creations! Here's mine:

For my creation, I stamped the butterfly using Versamark Dazzle onto glossy paper. I heat set it and then brayered it with Rose Bud Memento Ink. You can't really tell in the photo but the butterfly has a hint of sparkle to it. It's really cool. The butterfly and sentiment is from SU! and the paper is Doodlebug. If you look close, you can see that I also stamped a flower border (it came with the SU! set) in Rose Bud ink on the inside of my card. I really like how this turned out!

Since I was using my brayer, I went ahead and played a little more so I have ANOTHER card to show you. Can you believe it? TWO cards in one day!! On this one, I used the same technique but didn't use Versamark Dazzle just regular Versamark. When you compare the card below to the one above you can tell that the butterfly image "pops" more.

SCS sketch #166 was used for this card. I used my Kaleidacolor Bouquet Pad on this image. Paper again is Doodlebug. On the inside of this card, I again stamped the flower border using the Bouquet pad and then stamped the sentiment as well.

It's neat to use the same exact image but totally different colors and get a whole different feeling from each one. This SU! set is one of my favorites and I'm sure I'll be using it a lot more!

CAC SKetch #8

Just a quick card to share. Since it's Tuesday it's time for another CAC Sketch card. This week our sketch was a PageMap sketch. As a card maker I'm always looking ahead to the holidays to see what cards I will need. I got a new Valentine's Day stamp in the $1 bin at Michael's that would work perfectly for the sketch.

I stamped the circle image 5 x - once using brown ink, twice using blue and pink ink. Then I cut out and "popped" up each layer. I changed up my card a little from the sketch in order to accommodate the sentiment going completely across. The circle says "my valentine" so I put "be mine" as the sentiment below. The "be mine" stamp is from Martha Stewart. The paper is Chatterbox and I used the EK ticket punch in the corners.

FUNShop projects

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend! I know mine went fast but then don't they always! Yesterday, I had a FUNShop! A FUNShop is just what TAC calls our in home parties. I like it cause we always have FUN and we do two projects. So it's a fun workshop! At this particular one we made a treat bag and did a card utilizing our Scor-pal. First up is the treat bag. Our treat bag is for Valentine's Day but would be perfect for Easter, Birthday and just because! I'm planning on doing something like this for Abby's preschool class Valentine's day party. I got the idea from Angie's blog. She always has such cute projects!

This is a side view to give you an idea of the size of it. It's made with small paper sacks (size 6 3/4 x 3 1/2 x 2"deep) that I got at Michael's. You actually cut the top of the sack off so it measures 4 3/8". Here's the front:

We used Enjoy Today stamp set and From the Heart GWP. We colored the image using our stamp pads and blender pens. It gave it a soft watercolor look. We also made a card. I showed how to make your own background paper using your Scor-Pal.

The brown & white card in the front is the one that everyone made. The others were just samples of other ways to make backgrounds using your Scor-Pal.

These are just a few more cards that I showed where a Scor-Pal was used somewhere on the card. I like how easy it is to use the Scor-Pal and how it can really step up the look of my cards!

is anyone else having problem with their counter or is it just me??? Mine is at the bottom right of my blog. Please realize that I'm definitely not a pro in the blogging world and I just put my counter on my blog probably a month ago so if ANYONE has any helpful advice, I would LOVE IT!!!

It's really annoying me, can you tell?!?!?
