Yadda, Yadda, Yadda

So I don't have anything to share but I've been wondering something and thought who better to ask then the blogging world! As you know this week as been tough on me as I've been suffering from migraines. When my head isn't hurting I'm exhausted. Therefore, I haven't done much in the 'ole craft room. Instead I've been watching some movies which I hardly ever do. I like movies but to sit still for two hours when I know of all the things on my to do list that needs to be done well it's hard for me to enjoy myself. I can't really say what my taste is in movies. I like all kinds - each one more welcoming with my moods. This week has been about action and romance. I watched The Incredible Hulk with Edward Norton - it was pretty good. However another Edward has been on my mind lately and this one is HOT, HOT, HOT!! Yes, I'm talking about Edward from Twilight. Now I've seen the movie but never read the book. I'm a reader - totally enjoy getting submersed in a good book. My problem is I usually can't do anything else till I finish it. Currently I've been reading the Scarpetta books from Patricia Cornwell. I've read them before but never back to back so I thought I'd do that. I'm on the Book of the Dead which I've never read before but I was having trouble "getting into it". I think I wanted more romance than crime drama. So I decided to read Twilight. I wasn't sure what to expect but HOLY COW I LOVED THAT BOOK!! I finished it in a day and a half - not bad considering I had to do my mother duties and household duties. I just couldn't put it down. It was a really good book. I was a little nervous though cause I had seen the movie so wasn't sure if it would ruin the book. When I first watched Twilight I laughed a lot and thought it was ok but didn't really get the hype. After reading the book I decided to watch the movie again last night. I have to say I liked it a little better - things made more sense to me. Like the part when Bella comes into Biology class and Edward looks as though he's going to throw up...it's not funny now..I totally can "get" his problem!! SOOOOOOOOOOOO what does this have to do with my question - well I don't know what to do...do I read the next book and then see the movie OR do I wait and see the movie and then read the book??? I know there are a lot of Twilight fans out there so tell me should I go get the next book???

On a side note it is a little disappointing that they cut some stuff out of the movie that was in the book...I do like the relationship between Edward and Bella in the book - they did more talking. Of course, it's hard to put it all in. I just laughed a lot reading the book due to what they said. Also I don't know why they have to change things - i.e. Bella "escaping" from the hotel rather than the airport. Plus in the book she goes to the ballet studio during the day but in the movie it's at night...How does that make a difference?? I guess that's why I'm not a part of the movie industry...I think to much!

Wow what a strange post for me...I guess I need to find some girlfriends that I can discuss books and movies with over coffee!! Not to keep going but did you see that The Time Traveler's Wife is coming out. I LOVED that book to. Not sure if the movie will do it justice either...Did anyone see My Sister's Keeper? Again, read that booked so good but also cried my eyes out. I didn't see the movie because again, wasn't sure if it would do the book justice....SO SHOULD I GO SEE THOSE???

Let me know what you think - we're all entitled to our opinions and I'd love to hear yours! I hope you have a great weekend - We've got some friends coming on Saturday and then I have a FUNShop on Sunday! Thanks for stopping by!!

Flutter By Challenge

Good Morning - today's challenge was a tough one for me. DT member, Ann issued us the challenge to create a card using a butterfly or Fairy using NO PATTERN PAPER!! {insert gasp here} Since I was only going to use cardstock, I decided to use a slightly larger image and really make it stand out.

This image is from The Angel Company's Jeans and Wings stamp set. I have to tell you I really enjoy this set. I just love those large wings! I used my Dove Blender pen and Aquacolor Crayons to color her in. I embossed the green cardstock using my Cuttlebug Embossing Folders. I keep thinking the card is missing something but not sure what it is - any suggestions??? I had to make her wings sparkle so I applied Crystal Stickles to them. Here's another shot to show the shine.

So are you up for the challenge? If so just stop by Danni's blog and leave a link to your creation using Mr. Linky. I'd love to see what you create! Also, be sure to stop by the other team members blogs to see their card - their links are on the right.

Thank you for stopping by! I'm hoping to get around to some blogs today - I'm in need of some serious inspiration! Have a great day!

3 cards

Lucky for me I completed these cards about two weeks ago as I haven't been doing much creating lately! I'm sorry I haven't posted or been to your blogs lately - I've had a terrible migraine that just won't go away! I'm not sure what's going on as the medicine that I have doesn't even seem to be working! Just wanted to give you a little FYI - in case you've been saying that darn Michelle isn't commenting on my blog {wink, wink}

I'm going to share 3 cards I made using the same papers & sketch. For my CAC group, Tuesdays mean sketch day. We were given this sketch and are asked to make a card. When I first looked at the sketch I wasn't really into it. BUT I have to tell you that once I started working on one I ended up making 2 more and could have made more. They were fast and it's a perfect sketch to use up those scraps!!

The first one resembles the sketch exactly.

I needed a birthday card so I made this one.

The last one is my FAVORITE

Like I mentioned these are perfect cards to use scraps on. Double sided paper works perfectly as well - that's what I used here. Hope you enjoyed the cards! Thanks for stopping by!

ladybug Card

Well I was going to share Abby's creations from the last two days but I haven't taken the pictures and well I'm a slacker! I'm going to hopefully do that today and will post them tomorrow - she's super proud of them and they are oh so cute!

Today I thought I'd share a quick card that I made. I was at a crop a month or so ago and a lady there showed me this card she had made. Well I just had to recreate it with the supplies I had and I think it's adorable!

Not sure if you can tell but the ladybug body is made with the Marvy super jumbo scallop circle. There are three of them and they are folded in half and glued together. It gives it dimension. The circles were done with an eraser and black ink pad. The sentiment is from A Wittle Bug by TAC. The black circle is either 1/2" or 3/4" circle punch and I just drew in the antennas with a black marker.

Well hope you enjoy my card for today! Thanks for all the wonderful comments you leave - I (& Abby) LOVE reading them! Have a wonderful Thursday!!

Create A Scene

That's the challenge this week for Flutter by Wednesday, issued by Heather. Now Heather is really good at creating scenes...me not so much!! I'm really good at imagining more so then executing but after MANY days and painstaking hours (just kidding, Heather) I came up with something. I really have Jen to thank for her card in this post. When I saw how she used the Happy Thoughts set from TAC I knew that I could base my scene around it.

Now you are probably thinking that Abby made this card (ha, ha) but I did it - all by myself :o) As I was making the card I kept thinking about my younger days...when I just created whatever I vision or felt. Sometimes I forget to do that - I get too caught up in things and lose sight of why I do this. This card was FUN to make - I kept smiling the whole time. Honestly, wouldn't you smile?

The butterfly is a 3d sticker from K&Co. The stamp set (happy thoughts) is from TAC. I stamped it with Belle Rose & Chartreuse Palette Pads. I added buttons tied with Scrappers Floss. All cardstock is DCWV - blue is sanded to give the feel of the sky. Orange is inked with Orangerie Palette pad.

I hope you decide to play along with this week's challenge. Remember your creation needs to contain a butterfly or fairy along with a scene. Stop by Danni's blog to leave a link to your creation so we can all check it out. Also, be sure to stop by the other designers blog to see what they have done!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Friend

Today on my CAC group, is sketch day. We are given a sketch and have to create a card. The sketch this week is from PAGEMAPS and is shown below:

and here is my card:

When I first saw the sketch I wasn't to thrilled about the circles. I have tons of punches but nothing that cuts that big. Then I remembered my large circle Coluzzle template. Easy peasy. I used BasicGrey Bittersweet - found this in a container which I didn't even know I had!! Have you ever had that happen to you?? ANYWAY, I added ribbon and a tag instead of stamping my sentiment on the paper since it's a little dark and busy. I was going to make this a birthday card since I need one but I couldn't get the words to fit on the tag - OH WELL, such is life :o) The sentiment is one from my new FAV sentiment sets, Thinking of You from The Angel Company. There are so many wonderful sentiments and the fonts are GORGEOUS!

So any big plans today? Abby is so excited because this afternoon she gets to take a class at the LSS. It's for kids and they are going to decorate a DVD tin. The class says for children 7 and up so I didn't originally sign her up. Debbie stopped me one day when I was in there and asked me if Abby was going to take the class. I said she's only 5 and it says 7 and up. Debbie said that Abby would be fine - she's always sharing her creations with them so they know what she can do. They have two more classes for kids this week - bday cards and explosion box. I signed her up for the bday cards but not the explosion box. I did one of those and it kicked my butt - no need to get Abby frustrated at such an early age, lol!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!

I am a demonstrator for The Angel Company so feel free to contact me if you have any questions or are interested in purchasing anything!

Christmas Challenge #26

Good Morning - are you ready for another week? I realized this weekend that there aren't too many weeks left of summer. Abby starts school around August 12th so we better take advantage of this free time while we have it!

This week on the Christmas blog we were given a sketch to use by the uber talented Maria. Here is her sketch:

and here is my card:

I kept to the sketch pretty much except for pushing the focal point to the left a little so I could add a ribbon and bow. I used the retired set of Merry Wishes paper from The Angel Company which is full of bright and wonderful designs. The image and sentiment was given to me as a RAK. I tried putting buttons around my card - my blogging buddy Tammi uses buttons all the time and I just LOVE her stuff so I had to try. What do you think?

Now my other buddy Barb, gave me a few pointers on coloring (what fun we had, huh?!?!) and I tried that on my image using pencils and OMS. Granted it's a small image and yes, I still need practice but I think her coat looks pretty good. I added Liquid Applique to her as well. Here's a close up:

Tell me what you think as I really enjoy reading all the feedback PLUS I can use all the advice I can get, LOL!
I hope you decide to play along this week! Just stop by the Christmas Blog for all the details and leave a link to your creation. While you are there be sure to check out all the other very talented design team members creations.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

It's a TAC BLOG HOP

Hi there! If you are joining me, then you are in for a real treat! I don't normally post over the weekend. I mean heck, half the time I don't have enough to share during the week, LOL. But tonight is special as I'm participating in a Blog Hop with some fellow Angels. I'm excited to share some wonderful cards featuring The Angel Company (TAC) papers and stamps.

Our theme for the blog hop is to replenish our card stash. We could use any theme so I decided to do a few cards using new stamp sets from TAC's new catalog (do you have one? Do you need one? Just contact me!!) First up is this darling bear from the Bears & Bubbles set. I used a technique I learned at seminar known as skin tones to Stickles technique.

The bear REALLY shines so I had to include a close up so you could see that!!

Pretty, huh? The dots were made with VersaMark and a pencil eraser. Next up is a super cute image PERFECT for summer - it's called Hit the Beach.

For this one, I used prismacolor pencils and OMS...I've really been practicing my coloring and LOVE how this turned out - I even shaded!! Yeah, for me!! I used crystal lacquer on the snorkel mask but not sure you can see that. The paper is from A Little Whimsy...Doesn't it just SCREAM summer???

For my last card I used a set known as Jeans & Wings. I used Lilly Anna SWIC for the papers & cardstocks. It's one of my favorite lines!

I colored the adorable image using my Dove blender pen and Aquacolor crayons. I bought the crayons last year and haven't used them much. They are getting a workout now though! I added Crystal Stickles to her wings - I mean wings have to sparkle, right?!

Well there you have it - I hope you've enjoyed my creations! To see more wonderful creations using TAC products just visit my fellow Angels blogs. I can't wait to visit their blogs and see what they've done! They are:

Pink & Brown Flutter By Challenge

Time for another Flutter By Challenge. This week, Cathy came up with the challenge to use pink and brown along with a fairy or butterfly. I have to tell you that sticking with just two colors was difficult at first. I think I like to have at least 3 when I'm creating!

Pretty simple card.. I used my Cuttlebug embossing folder for the pink cardstock. I found a retired TAC butterfly stamp that I got in a TAC grab bag and used that for the main focal point. The quote is also a TAC stamp, Be of Good which is a level C hostess set. I didn't add much cause I didn't want to take away from the embossing or the butterflies - a bow and button (yes, that was last weeks challenge by me...love them!) did the trick.

Be sure to stop by Danni's blog to see her fabulous card. While you are there you can use Mr. Linky to share your creation - we'd love to see them!! Don't forget to check out the other team members blogs - I promise you won't be disappointed...they are all so very talented! Oh and I want to give a shout out to our newest member, Taylor. She actually joined us last week and like a dork I totally forget to mention it. Welcome to the team, Taylor!!

Not much planned for today - Abby is enjoying VBS and I'm enjoying the quiet in the mornings. It's been such a blessing as I had a project I had to finished and it wouldn't have happened otherwise. Today Abby and I are going to my mom's to pick a few things up - she lives about 30 min away in Lawrence. Thank goodness Jay's off since I've been dealing with a flat tire off and on...he'll be getting new tires on my car. Bummed about it though cause I'd much rather spend the money on stamps and paper then TIRES! Oh well - gotta do whatcha gotta do.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Christmas Challenge - Inside & Out

It's Monday so you know what that means!! Time for another Christmas Card. This week Debbie challenged us to decorate the inside & outside of the card! I'm not sure the inside of mine is anything special but I did the challenge :o)

When I first started thinking what I wanted to do this week I realized that I enjoyed making a card that was entirely focused around stamps. I know that is crazy since I'm addicted to rubber stamps BUT I'm also addicted to using what I already have since I have so darn much!! Over the years I have bought a TON of Christmas stuff with the thinking that it's ok because Christmas comes every year so I'll eventually use it. No more of that (right now anyway, lol!). Anyway, enough about that I'm sure you want to see the card - right?

I used Mojo Monday week 94 sketch for my card - here is the front:
and here is the inside:

See that's more than I usually do with the inside of my cards...you want to know a little secret? Most of the time when I create a card I actually only create a card front. I had it to a base when I go to send it. I really like how this turned out and am thinking it would be nice to decorate the inside of the card again.

Be sure to check out the Christmas Blog to play along and to see the other DT members wonderful creations!!

I'm hoping to get a lot accomplished this week since Abby will be in VBS every morning. I'm really looking forward to the quiet time and to get some deadlines met that I unfortunately waited to the last minute to complete. Thanks for stopping by - have a happy Monday!!

Card Details:
Paper: BG Wassill
Stamps: Doodlebug
Ink: Jardin Moss Palette Pad
Other: Santa 3-d sticker, Making Memories Rub-ons, Crystal & Yellow Stickles

A few cards & Abby's creation

Hello! Today I thought I'd share a few cards that I submitted for the catalog design call that didn't make it into the catalog.

First up is a card that uses one of my favorite paper lines Willoughby. I just LOVE the patterns and the colors. The tree is from Love and Laughter stamp set.

This next one was a fun one. It uses the #1 selling paper, Angelee along with the I Love Easter stamp set. I stamped the image on darker cardstock then I would normally used but then colored it slightly with pencils and OMS and REALLY liked how it turned out. I attached a few paper posies and used fun flock on his tail - I mean a bunny has to have a fluffy tail, right? I based the card on sketch #5 in the catalog.

Next up is an Abby creation. Now my daughter is 5 and she is one of those abstract artists. She is so not like her mommy - I have to follow lines and everything match! She's more of a fly by the seat of her pants kind of girl and I totally dig that about her! A couple of days ago I was looking at Jen's blog where she had made the cutest wagon. Abby say it and said "Mommy we have to make that". Well after many hours trying to get the template downloaded and saved to my computer without success I gave up. In the meantime, she had started building her own wagon. Now she did this all by herself with NOTHING in front of her to look at or copy. She saw Jen's wagon for that brief moment and this is what she made:

She hand cut everything. Yes, I have circle punches and dies galore but the girl is all about doing it now (no waiting for Mommy's help!). I think it's pretty darn cute!! It's hard to believe she saw a picture and then went into the other room and created it. She definitely gets that from her Papa. It amazes me how my Dad can see something and then go back to his shop and recreate it...That's a talent for sure!

Well that's it for today! I hope you are having a great summer and enjoying yourself. Thank you for taking the time to visit and leave comments! I LOVE reading each and everyone of them!!

FBW Challenge issued by ME

Happy Wednesday! As you know, Wednesday's mean flutter by time here and this week I was asked to come up with the challenge. I decided to issue the challenge of using buttons & bows (ribbon) on your card along with a butterfly or fairy.

I started off using Jen del Muro's sketch but after I got done I'm not sure you can tell I used it at all! I LOVE how the card turned out though!

I used Mimi SWIC from TAC which is no longer available because now we have More Mimi SWIC which is double sided - yumO! The stamp is from Inkadinkado. I've always wanted it and a couple of weeks ago it was on clearance at my Micheal's so that baby hopped right into my cart!! I paper pieced the butterfly and colored the image with pencils & OMS. I then added some Stickles for that nice blingy look. Here's a close up of the butterfly:

Aren't the colors fun? It's one of my FAVORITE color combos - it makes me so happy!

I hope you decide to play along this week! Remember to share your card by going to Danni's blog and using the Mr. Linky function. Also, be sure to check out all the other team members blogs for their creation - I can't wait to see what they come up with!! The links for each blog is on the right hand side of my blog. When you visit Jodi's blog be sure to wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY since it's today!! I hope she has a great one!

Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by!

The return of CAC sketches...

Well it's been awhile since I've posted a CAC (Create-A-Card) sketch. In case you don't know or remember, I'm a member of a yahoo group know as Create-A-Card. Every Tuesday the sketch team posts their creation using the sketch given to us. I took a break due to ,well, life and am now happy to be back at it. The sketch this week was a neat one - I knew it would be perfect for all those scrap papers I have.

So here is the sketch:
and here is my card:

I used Angelee SWIC from The Angel Company. At seminar we were told that this was the #1 paper from the last catalog. In each pack of SWIC you receive a sheet of tags - I have to be honest using tags is not my strong suit. I usually put all the tags in a bin - I mean I can't throw anything away and I just might use them someday. Well folks, today is the day!! I used one for my sentiment. That's another sentiment from Thinking of You. I LOVE that set!! Everything is available from TAC except the large pink flower - that's from Prima.

So what do you think? Thanks for all the wonderful comments and for taking the time to read my blog. Hope you have a wonderful day!

Christmas Challenge #24

So did you have a good holiday weekend? I did! Saturday our neighborhood had a parade in the morning, my parents and sister came to spend the day with us, we went putt-putting, grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, went to the lake for the firework show and then had our own firework show...yes, we did all that and I can tell you it was a lot of fun but I was TIRED!

Here's a fun picture of Abby - You can't really tell but she decorated her bike for the parade - it had stickers, stamped images, streamers, pipe cleaners...she's very crafty (not sure where she gets it, lol!)

Here's a family shot of us. It's right after the parade (hence my cheeks are a little red & Jay is wearing that hat). Abby rode her bike and we walked...not sure how we thought we'd keep up with her. Jay ended up cutting through so he could catch up with her. I went the whole route - figured if I was out and walking might as well do it all!

So I'm sure you are here to see my Christmas card for the week. I had so much fun with this one. The challenge was given to us by Vickie and it was to go stampless - no stamps to be used except for the sentiment. I have a bin full of my Christmas embellishments so I knew I was going to use those. I ended up making 3 cards - I used up the full package of stickers that I had, yeah for me!!!

The cards are pre-made from DCWV which I got on clearance last year. I used Amy R. sketch from here - leaving out the embellishments in the corner. The only stamping I did was for the sentiment and I HAD to use it - it's a new sentiment from the Thinking of You set by TAC that I got at seminar last week. I LOVE this set!! I also inked the edges of the cardstock since I didn't want to mat all the layers. I do that so I can keep the postage down when I go to mail these babies out at the end of the year.

Be sure to stop by the Stampin' All Year Long blog to see the other fabulous creations by the design team. Why don't you play along - July is known as Christmas in July...

As always thank you for taking the time to visit my blog and leave me comments! It means the world to me and I so appreciate it!! Hope you have a wonderful Monday!!

Seminar Trades

Good Morning and Happy Friday! Do you have a wonderful 4th of July planned? I'm so excited as this is our first year celebrating the 4th in our house and we can actually shoot off fire works, we have a neighborhood parade that Abby is so excited about, and we live right near the lake where they have a huge firework show. My family is coming over to celebrate with us which means Mom will be bring items from the garden and her famous macaroni salad - yumO!

Today I thought I'd show you my seminar trades that I gave out.
This one is a favorite of mine and what is funny is it uses Kraft paper which I used to HATE - what's up with that? Do you ever do that - have something you can't stand and then all of a sudden you're like ummm that's not so bad after all. Not sure if you can tell but I stamped the swirls with Versamark. I then pierced part of the swirl using the stamp as the guideline. It really added to the card.

Details:
Stamps - All from The Angel Company: Curls n Swirls, Glitter Goblins (circle); You are (sentiment); Linear Sentiments (star)
Ink - VersaMark, Burnt Umber, L'Amore Red, Prussian Blue
Other - Mega Scallop Circle Punch, Super Jumbo Circle Punch, Brown Scrappers Floss, Red Button, piercer

This next card uses new sets from the catalog.
This one was a fun one to make and I just love the saying...so me! And doesn't that pig just look as though she could have an attitude?

Details:
Stamps - all from The Angel Company: Funny Farm (pig), Funny Farm Phrases (saying) and Enjoy Nature (flowers)
Ink - Noir Black, VersaMark
Other - Colored pencils & OMS, Extra Jumbo Flower Punch, 1/2" circle punch, pop dot

My last share is my special trade. For my special I made little note pads. I so love how they turned out. I got the idea when I was blog surfing and saw someone doing something similar with post it pads and pens. I stamped the image & colored her in with pencils & OMS as well as Copics. I used the Cha Cha SWIC line to paper piece her top and to put a circle in the center of the sunflower. The image is from Fall Harvest and is one of my favorites.
This is the inside of the pad - I got the little paper pads at my Dollar Tree. They came 5 "little" pads to a pack. One of my trades used 2 of those "little" pads. I then combine the left over pad with another one by using double stick tape. The pencils I got a year or so ago for another project I did - I got like 100 to a box so I have just a few of those laying around, lol!I used 8.5x11 paper and could get two covers per sheet. Because my pads were a little long I had to had a strip of black cardstock to the bottom which I just cut using my decorative scissors. It took me awhile to get my dimensions right but once I FINALLY figured that out these went together rather quickly. Coloring took the longest by far oh and maybe cutting out the tops :o)

Well I hope you've enjoyed my creations today. Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and a glorious 4th of July - stay safe!!

Seminar & New Catalog!!

It's here - the new 2009 - 2010 Inspiration Book & Catalogue! Inside you'll find 11 new hostess sets, 32 new stamp sets and new double sided paper - just to name a few. I don't want to give it all away :o) You can get yours for just $5.00 and I'll even include a coupon for $5.00 off your first purchase!!

Plus you'll see my card (shown above) on page 39 - I was so happy to find out at seminar that one of my cards was featured in the catalog. I've added the specials for July to my sidebar so be sure to check those out. We have a cool arrow stamp of the month set and the frogs in the vintage set are just too cute!

Thought it would be neat to show you my name tag and ribbons showing my achievements as well as all the cool buttons we got at seminar. One of them was given to us by Mabelle and features that cute little fairy that I used on my card yesterday.

All those buttons remind me of my teenage years where it was cool to collect buttons and have them on your jean jacket...I'm still not sure how I'm going to display these now. Can someone tell me the cool way to do it!?!

The biggest surprise for me at seminar was to find out I won an award. I'm not the type of person to stand out in a crowd. I'm rather shy UNTIL I get to know you...once I'm comfortable then talking and such is much much easier for me. Anyway, getting up in front of everyone, walking across a stage and such - terrifying. But when my name was called for the Rising Star award - all I could think was 'holy cow, really, me, oh my gosh I'm getting a tiara'. Seriously this is what was going through my brain as I went on stage. I also have to tell you I'm not the beauty queen type but man it felt good to put that tiara on my head - does something special to ya and you definitely can't stop smiling!! So below is my tiara and star pendent as well as my certificate that I won.

If you are still reading thanks for hanging in there. I know it's a rather long post. I still have my seminar trades to share but will save those for tomorrow. I hope you have a great evening and thanks so much for stopping by!! I appreciate each and every one of YOU!!

Happy Flutter By Wednesday!!

Happy Wednesday to you! So much has happened in the last week!! I've got tons of things to show you and tell you so be sure to check back. First off, I have to tell you that hubby bought be a new computer while I was at seminar over the weekend - YIPPEEE!!! But boy is it some work - and it seems to take me forever to get it done. Little things annoy me - I mean I'm so used to being able to upload one photo at a time on my old computer but can't for the life of me figure it out on the new. Sure, I tried it at midnight and by 1AM I decided to quit - I probably wasn't in full brain mode - but still!! So bear with me, I guess, is what I'm trying to say....I promise I'll get back to posting regularly and leaving comments on all those wonderful blogs of yours!

So seminar was great - will TOTALLY go into that in another post. I've got a pile of stuff that I need to take photos of and share so be looking for those in the next day or two.

For today though, I need to share my Flutter By card and boy is it an AWESOME one...okay nothing like tooting my own horn but I think you'll agree. The challenge this week was an open one - which means anything goes just have to include a butterfly or fairy on your creation. We have a guest designer this week, it's the fabulous Carolyn Bounds. Be sure to check out her creation, along with Danni's on Danni's blog.

So for my card I used the yummy new Basic Grey Lemonade paper and a brand new set from The Angel Company. This set is from the very talented and oh so nice, Mabelle who I got to meet at seminar. The set is called Fairy Birthday and is available TODAY in our new catalog!!! I used Mojo Monday Sketch week 93 for the layout - switching it just a little to fit my image.

CA-UTE, huh??? I just ADORE this set!!! I used Prismacolor Pencils and OMS on the fairy along with Copics for her skin & cheeks. The butterfly and sentiment are part of the stamp set as well - COOL, right? I decided to use liquid applique on the cupcake and crystal stickles on the wings. Below is a better picture of them.

I think I love this card so much cause of the gorgeous stamp set and the delicious paper!! It's a win - win.

Be sure to visit the other team members blogs to see their fab-u-oso designs. You can find the links to their blogs on the right hand side. And while you are at it leave me some love and let me know what you think - I so enjoy reading your comments!!

Thanks for stopping by and I promise to be a better blogger so be sure to come back :o)
