Flutter By Wednesday #2

It's my second week as a featured stamper on the Flutterby Wednesday team and I'm having so much fun! I'm using stamps that have never been inked as well as paper I've had in my stash for-EVER! If you aren't playing along, what are you waiting for??? Join in and share your butterfly creations! Here's mine:

and a side view:
For my creation, I stamped the butterfly using Versamark Dazzle onto glossy paper. I heat set it and then brayered it with Rose Bud Memento Ink. You can't really tell in the photo but the butterfly has a hint of sparkle to it. It's really cool. The butterfly and sentiment is from SU! and the paper is Doodlebug. If you look close, you can see that I also stamped a flower border (it came with the SU! set) in Rose Bud ink on the inside of my card. I really like how this turned out!

Since I was using my brayer, I went ahead and played a little more so I have ANOTHER card to show you. Can you believe it? TWO cards in one day!! On this one, I used the same technique but didn't use Versamark Dazzle just regular Versamark. When you compare the card below to the one above you can tell that the butterfly image "pops" more.

SCS sketch #166 was used for this card. I used my Kaleidacolor Bouquet Pad on this image. Paper again is Doodlebug. On the inside of this card, I again stamped the flower border using the Bouquet pad and then stamped the sentiment as well.

It's neat to use the same exact image but totally different colors and get a whole different feeling from each one. This SU! set is one of my favorites and I'm sure I'll be using it a lot more!

Don't forget to check out Danni's blog where she is giving away some awesome blog candy for those who play along! If you upload your card to SCS or PCP, please use keyword FBW40. Also, check out the other team's creations by clicking on their name on the right under Flutterby Wednesdays! I promise you won't be disappointed!!

Hi Michelle,

Well as an Su Demo you know I love that image!!! LOL you know I have that one and have forgoten about it. Mostly because all my other SU sets are categorized by 13 different categories and there is one for Animals, Sealife, Wildlife, and Insects which all my butter flys are in, and I never think to look back thru my Hostess Set category!!!! Maybe I will have to use this one another week!!!

I love the Brayer Technique it is one of my favorite! I taught my club girls how to do wonderful sceens using their brayers this year and Versa Mark, and Clear embossing powder.

I do not have any of the Versa Mark Dazzel yet I will have to get some and try it out!!!

Lovely Cards I really do love both of them for different reasons on each card. You did a wonderful job this week!!!
